After this subject, I guarantee that you will become a master of Galaxy S24. Without further ado, let's go to the list, as it is not small, but I guarantee it will be interesting.
Add Widgets to Lock Screen
A Samsung had already expanded the customization possibilities on the lock screen in the latest versions of its system, but here they managed to make everything even more interesting.
Step 1: From the home screen, pinch out, then tap Wallpaper and Style. A menu showing various wallpaper settings will appear, showing both your lock screen and home screen. On this screen, tap the image on the left, representing the lock screen.
Step 2: When the image opens, the system will give you a variety of things to customize. You can do things like change the size and type of the clock, but the new feature is the content below the clock, written Widgets.
With this you will have already modified the lock screen with the new Widgets.
Show wallpaper on Always on Display
A very interesting new feature included in the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 + e Galaxy s24 ultra is to be able to leave your wallpaper appearing when you activate the Always on Display. It is exclusive to the new line and should not reach old devices.
Step 1: Go to Settings and then in Lock screen and Always-on screen. This settings tab is full of things, but what we want is to activate the feature Always on Display.
Step 2: After activating, tap the new feature menu and some options will be available to you. One of them is Display lock screen wallpaper. Confirm this option and that's it, when the Always-On Screen is working, your wallpaper will be in the background.
Add weather animations to wallpaper
Another really cool feature added to the family Galaxy S24 was being able to add weather animations to your wallpapers. Using AI, the system reads the chosen image along with information about the weather where you are and dynamically places effects such as rain, snow and others.
Step 1: Go to the Settings and then in Advanced Features. Then tap Labs. Then tap Environment Wallpaper also photo
Step 2: Accept the terms and return to SettingsOn Wallpaper and Style. There, tap Change wallpaper and go to the tab Creative where will you find the option Photo environment. Choose this option, configure your location and choose a photo. That's it, your wallpaper will now be interactive according to the current weather in your location.
Generate wallpapers with AI
With the new IU 6, you can create wallpapers in Galaxy S24. To do this, let's go back to the settings Wallpaper and Style, directly from the home screen, using the pinch gesture.
Step 1: In these settings, tap change wallpapers and then go to Generative on the flap Creative.
Step 2: A screen with some wallpapers will open. If you like one, you can choose that one. However, the grace here is the lower part where we have the Create something new. When choosing a theme, you will have some creation options and then just confirm by tapping generate.
Reduce home screen grid icon size
This feature works on Galaxy S24, at Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy s24 ultra, but it stands out in the larger version, after all we have a very large screen, so being able to take advantage of every corner of it seems like an excellent idea.
Step 1: On the home screen, pinch as if you were zooming out, then tap Settings. Then tap Home screen grid. A screen showing home screen icon sizes will appear, along with options at the bottom. Choose one of them and confirm. Ready.
And so you can have an interesting change in the design of the home screen.
Reduce grid icon size in app list
This is an extension of the previous tip, only changing the region in which you will customize your Galaxy S24. That said, let's review the steps.
On the home screen, repeat the same steps as the previous tip until Settings. Rather than Home screen grid, let's choose App screen grid. Then just choose what you think is best and confirm.
Add weather and weather widgets
Add a weather and weather widget in new Galaxy S24 too easy. The main tool needed is your finger and an empty space on your screen. Let's go.
Step 1: From anywhere on your home screen Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ ou Galaxy s24 ultra Pinch outwards. Then tap Widgets. On the next screen, just search for Climate or search for the same. Select one of the options and choose a place.
Create stacks with multiple widgets
Placing a widget is very easy, but have you ever thought about organizing several in a single space, optimizing your home screen? With widget stacks, you can do this, being one of the Tips and tricks for the Galaxy S24 coolest on the list.
Step 1: Pinch out the home screen and go to Widgets, just like you did to place the weather widgets. Look for a Widget that interests you and place it on your home screen.
Step 2: With the Widget already positioned, tap and hold on it until the button appears create stack. Tap this option and then choose the second widget to place in this stack. You can fill this same area with several widgets, facilitating usability.
Circle to search on Google
The new ones Galaxy S24 have some really cool tricks aimed at using the Artificial Intelligence. One of them is being able to search for anything on the screen just by circling your point of interest.
Step 1: Regardless of whether you use your Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ ou Galaxy s24 ultra by buttons ou gestures Just tap and hold the middle button at the bottom of the screen. This will generate a “magic” effect on the screen along with the search bar. Google.
Step 2: So just circle a photo or text that interests you on the screen and the system will give you the result instantly at the bottom. In my case, I circled the profile of the showmetech No. Instagram and immediately I had the result of our website.
Enable Edge Panels
Edge panels bring a great multitasking experience to smartphones Galaxy S24. Along these lines, it is possible that your smartphone already comes with them activated, but let's see step by step how to do this.
Open the Settings and then go to Viewfinder. Scroll to Edge Panels and activate. This action alone will cause the side of your Galaxy have special functions through a white, floating tab on the right. You can also go to Panels to define which ones you want and the order of them.
Em Panels, you can also open the Galaxy Store to download new Panels, with new functions. Already in Aba, you can configure the size, position and even color of the tab that activates the Edge panels.
With this, you get super quick access to apps and functions with just one gesture that can be accessed from anywhere on the system, preventing you from having to take several steps to reach the apps, in addition to improving multitasking.
Use Galaxy Phone as Webcam
The new OneUi 6.1 brought a very interesting new function for the integration of smartphones with tablets Galaxy Tab. This function allows you to use your Galaxy S24 as a webcam for your tablet, great for recording, participating in calls and other things.
Step 1: Check that both your Galaxy S24 as yours Galaxy Tab they have the new One UI 6.1. This will make the function Camera Sharing be available in both. You can check this by going to Software information on the flap Over the phone from your Galaxy's settings.
Step 2: With the OS updated on both, go to the Settings and then in connected devices. In this tab, the option Camera sharing will be available. When you activate on both devices, with the same account on both, you will be able to take advantage of the resources.
This is the kind of tool that can be a game-changer in your gaming experience. Dex our Galaxy Tab and should bring it even closer to a conventional PC, making it increasingly the best tool to use on the go.
Use new Find app
A Samsung has finally launched its own app to help us find our lost devices, for whatever reason.
In any Galaxy S24, just search for the app Find in the smartphone's application list. The use here is no secret. You open the app and it shows you all the devices registered to the account Samsung.
On each of the devices, you will have a Research ou Tracking, in addition to the option of Play for smartphones and tablets. Their most recent address also appears below.
Functions vary on each device. In the case of bluetooth headphones, you can make them make a noise so you can find them, just like with smartphones, in the case of Galaxy S24. But in case of theft and robbery, you can also use other functions such as locking the device. Although it has a native service, the Federal government launched the app Safe cell phone recently, promising to facilitate procedures in these cases and we have a complete article about this.
Share files with Quick Share
O QuickShare now stands in the place of what was previously the Nearby Sharing two smartphones Galaxy. Furthermore, it is now compatible with PC as well, making the experience much closer to what it is AirDrop da Apple .
If you need to transfer files and photos between your Galaxy S24 and PC, this is the perfect tool. To use, pull down the notification bar and look for the option QuickShare. Tap it and wait for the options.
A window will appear showing who you want to share your data with. The first is No one and only your own devices will be able to share files with each other. The second is only contacts, in which only your saved contacts will be able to share files with you and vice versa.
Lastly, you have the option All, where anyone can share files with you nearby. You can select to activate this last option for just 10 minutes so you don't forget to deactivate it later.
To use on PC, you can find the app on Microsoft Store. For now, there is a blockade with processors AMD and the app simply doesn't accept it, which is really annoying. Now if you use Intel, especially if it is any Galaxy Book, everything will work perfectly and in the same way as before.
Activate one or more eSIMs
The eSIM should soon replace the conventional SIM chip, ensuring greater security for users. All the family Galaxy S24 count with eSIM and now I'm going to teach you how to activate them on your new Galaxy.
Step 1: Go to Settings and then in Adjustable. From this screen, tap chip manager and then in add eSIM.
Step 2: So just choose the option Scan QR code ou Search for eSIMs.
You can repeat the process several times and add several eSIMs to the same smartphone, very useful for international trips or even for use with a business chip.
Enable battery protection
The line Galaxy S24 There was a small evolution in the batteries and now we can say that the three models are stable in this regard. Still, if you want to get even more battery life, you can activate battery protection.
Step 1: Go to Settings and then in Battery. A dedicated menu will appear with all the information, including the Battery Protection.
Step 2: Once activated, you can enter the functionality menu and define the type of Battery Protection that you want to use. The options are Basic, Adaptable e Maximum.
Update your cell phone
From time to time, your Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 + ou Galaxy s24 ultra will receive a new update, be it security or with great new aesthetics and functions.
To check, let's go to the Settings and then in Software update. Tap this option and check if there is an update for your device by tapping Download and install. The system will look for an update and if there is something, it will ask if you want to download it now.
If there is nothing, a message notifying you that you are up to date will appear. If you have an update, you can choose to download it and choose to install it only at a specific time, usually in the early hours of the morning, preventing the installation from becoming a hassle.
Update apps from the Google Play Store
His Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ ou Galaxy s24 ultra There are dozens of apps installed and they need to be updated from time to time. But this doesn't always happen automatically, so you need to check their situation.
To do this, open the app Google Play Store, tap your photo in the top right, then tap Manage apps and devices.
On the screen that opens, you will see a tab written Updates available where you can tap Update all ou Check details to check what will be updated and review it beforehand.
It's important that you keep apps up to date to avoid errors and bugs, but it's also an interesting way to check apps that you no longer care about and instead of updating, you end up uninstalling them.
Update Galaxy Store apps
On smartphones Galaxy S24, Besides the Google Play Store, you also have access to Galaxy Store, the company's own app store Samsung. Many apps will be downloaded and updated through the Google store itself, but we have some exclusivity in using this store, such as downloading games like Fortnite.
To check for updates, open the app Galaxy Store, remove the ad that appears, tap Menu and then in Updates at the top of the screen. If you have anything, just tap Update all and wait. That's it, now you're all up to date on both stores.
Connect Bluetooth mouse and keyboard
Any of the models Galaxy S24 It can be connected to Bluetooth mice and keyboards, making it easier to use when typing and browsing the internet. If you are a person who touches every detail of devices, you can already imagine how you do it, but if not, come with us and it's very easy.
Step 1: Turn on your smartphone's Bluetooth, either by pulling the notifications bar or going through Settings.
Step 2: Find your Bluetooth mouse and keyboard in the list and pair them with the Galaxy S24. The only thing that may vary is how each mouse and keyboard enters pairing mode, but this depends on each manufacturer. The important thing is that you find them in the list and connect. Once this is done, you will be able to browse your smartphone with them.
Use Galaxy as a computer (Dex Mode)
In conjunction with the previous tip, the Galaxy S24 allows you to literally use it like a PC. This feature is the dex mode, which changes the entire system interface, making it more similar to the Windows. To use, just find the button dex mode in the notification bar or look for Settings.
Although it works on the smartphone screen, it is recommended that you use this mode on a second screen, either via cables on an external monitor or wirelessly on a Smart TV. This mode, combined with the use of a mouse and keyboard, will transform your productivity.
If you don't have a mouse, you can use your smartphone as a touchpad to navigate the secondary screen, showing that the Samsung It is very mature in terms of its system and functionalities.
Connect with Windows (Link to cell phone)
With the application Link to Mobile, you can access practically all the apps on your Galaxy S24 directly from the PC, facilitating the transfer of files, but, mainly, to be able to make calls, send messages and receive notifications from your smartphone, directly from the PC.
Step 1: Search for the app Link to Mobile No. Galaxy S24 and on PC. You can quickly find it by pulling down the notification bar. Tap it and follow the steps to connect with your PC account. You can use QR code for this.
Step 2: If everything went well with the login, the app will require a code that will appear on the PC screen. Enter the code and that's it, the two devices will be connected.
Share your Galaxy screen with your tablet
O Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 + and the Galaxy s24 ultra have a feature called Multicontrol and in it you can share the use of your smartphone and tablet screen Galaxy Tab. It is an excellent function for productivity and helps with organizing and transferring data.
The first thing to do is find the option Multicontrol on your smartphone and tablet. You can try looking in the notification bar first, but if it's not there, go to Settings, then in connected devices and then on Multicontrol.
When activating the Multicontrol on both devices, confirm they are using the same Samsung account, and ensure you have a wireless mouse and keyboard to use. If all of this has been met, you will be able to drag items and apps from the tablet to the smartphone and vice versa.
Screen Recorder
Taking screenshots has become commonplace, but did you know that it is also possible to record a video of the screen natively on your device? Galaxy S24? To do this, we only need to follow a few steps.
Step 1: Let's go to the Settings and then until advanced features. On this screen, you will have several different features, including save the screen. When recording, you can just pull down the screen and look for the option Screen Recorder.
Step 2: In addition to being able to activate the feature, here you can also configure things like the type of video, whether you want your face recorded while the screen is recorded, as well as whether or not to allow the microphone to sound, an excellent feature for tutorials.
Print Screen
Just like videos, we can also capture the screen in image format, the famous Printscreen which can be used in different ways in Galaxy S24. Come on.
By default, if you press the power button and volume down simultaneously, you will be taking a screenshot. However, you can customize this to configure the image type and some other features.
Return to advanced features that I mentioned in the previous tip. Go in Captured Screens And that's it, this alone will ensure that the print function is 100% functional on the device. In addition, you can define whether or not you want the toolbar to appear when taking a print, whether you want a photo to be deleted after sharing, as well as other really cool options such as saving location and image format.
However, what I like most makes my life easier when making a print on Galaxy S24 is the option Hide status/navigation bars, leaving everything very clean and with total focus on the information in the print. You can still use the Edge Panels to print, if you find it more comfortable.
Customize quick functions
O Galaxy S24 and his brothers gained a completely remodeled system with the One UI 6 and this applies mainly to the quick functions included in the status bar when we pull the top part of the screen. Previously, to customize this area, we had to change the entire order of the functions included in the top menu, but now you have a specific configuration for the quick functions.
Step 1: Pull the screen down twice until the menu expands completely and the icon pencil to appear. Tap it.
Step 2: Tap edit on the left image, where it says Upper part. On the screen that opens, you always need to have 6 buttons here, but you can place them in the order you prefer and whatever you prefer from the list, regardless of what is arranged in the other list.
It's an interesting change and allows you to have more ease of use and much faster access to things that really interest you in the system's quick settings.
wireless power share
Their Galaxy Buds ran out of battery? No problem, the Galaxy S24 can share your battery through wireless power share and charge any device that accepts wireless charging, be it headphones, a smartphone and even smart watches.
Step 1: To make this work, go to the Settings and then in Battery. On this screen, look for the resource wireless power share and activate it.
Step 2: With the feature active, you will have to leave your Galaxy S24 with the screen down and place the other device on top of it, on the back. If everything goes well, the device will start charging.
It is important to note that this is a feature to be used as a bonus for emergencies and not as a practical day-to-day functionality, since the charging speed provided here does not reach the full potential of the devices.
Safe paste
A Safe paste is a folder with an extra layer of security on your Galaxy S24. It's the perfect place for you to store confidential information, passwords and even be a second desktop if you want.
It's very easy to create. Let's go to the Settings and then in Security and Privacy. Finally, enter More security settings where will you find the app Safe paste right in the first option. When entering it, you will have to accept the terms and then set a password, in addition to deciding whether or not you want to use biometrics to access the Pasta.
It's an excellent feature to ensure greater security with banking apps and confidential information, but remember that you'll have to register for the apps all over again, as if you were using two cell phones in one. However, I think it's worth it for what it offers.
In the settings, you can also put encryption on the app and activate a security mode in which it “self-destructs” if someone tries to access it and gets the password wrong.
Dual Camera
The new ones Galaxy S24 They have multiple cameras, regardless of the version you choose. That said, a really cool feature included in them is being able to use both the front and rear cameras in a single recording, perfect for videos react platforms like TikTok e Reels No. Instagram.
To use this function, access the camera app and drag your finger to the left until you reach doing more. On this screen, the option Dual recording It will be available. Tap it and that's it, you've found the new functionality. However, what stands out here is that it is very customizable.
By default, you'll record with the front camera and the rear main lens, but you can play around with this in your own way, which could be the Main lens + Ultrawide lens, for example, giving you more than one perspective on the same video. Not only that, but you can also record the video and ask the system to record these videos separately, in case you want to have a copy of them for other uses as well.
It's a very robust tool and should please everyone who likes to create more sophisticated videos or videos with more creative content.
Enable Super HDR format
The Gallery of Galaxy Until then, it left the photos on the smartphone a little erased, but that could change with this option to activate the Super HDR our Galaxy S24.
open the app Gallery No. Galaxy S24. Check if the app is updated. If you don't know how to do this, go back a few tips. With Gallery open, tap the three strikes icon at the bottom right and then go to Settings.
On the screen that opens, tap Super HDR. Now, the system will know what to do and automatically adjust the quality of the images for the best contrast and brightness from now on.
Scan documents and text
From time to time it is necessary to scan photos and documents to use for certain things, such as proof of address. It's a bit annoying having to use third-party apps for this, after all we have to face ads and other bureaucracy. The family Galaxy S24, fortunately, comes with this function native to the system.
To use, let's open the app Camera and then tap the adjustments button at the top left. The first option will be Read documents and text. Then just go back to the app and point to a document you want to scan.
You will notice that a yellow outline and a letter T will appear when the app can read something to scan. When you tap on “T”, the app will scan and let you choose the best crop of the photo, in addition to allowing you to rotate it. Then just save.
By default the image will be saved in the gallery, but if you go to it, tap the 3 dots button at the top and then tap Print, you will be able to save it as a PDF. In other words, it is a super complete tool and should make life easier in the long term.
Scan QR code
This tip works in a similar way to the previous one. It's been a while since the line Galaxy S can read QR codes, but here you will see exactly where that is.
Let's go back to the camera app, more precisely in its settings, located at the top left. If before we activated the first option, now we will go to the second, where it is written Read QR codes. Okay, from that, when you aim at any QR code, your Galaxy S24 will recognize.
Save selfies as viewed
Have you ever taken that selfie and then seen that it turned upside down and weird? Well, in Camera Settings his Galaxy S24 you can easily change this, making everything more natural and comfortable for you.
As we saw previously, when you open the Camera, just tap the gear at the top to go to the Camera Settings. On this screen, if we scroll a little, we will find the option Save selfies as viewed.
This will make both videos and photos taken by the front camera of your new Galaxy save the images the way you see them on the screen, instead of inverting everything. This option is really cool and makes everything more natural, as well as avoiding the slightly annoying step of having to invert the images with editing apps later.
Automatic FPS for video
This function will make recordings clearer in darker places by automatically optimizing frames in videos.
Enter the camera app and go to Settings. At the bottom, in the Videos, the first option will be Auto FPS. You can disable, choose whether the feature will only be activated on videos with 30FPS or if it will work both in videos 30FPS and 60FPS.
Gridlines
If you've never used this option, activating grid lines will help you when framing your photos. With excellent cameras like those of Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 + e Galaxy s24 ultra, this option is essential to have the best photos.
To activate, let's continue to Camera settings, but now let's scroll down to the section General. The option Gridlines it will be available in this area and then just activate it. When you return to the app's home screen, you will see that it is now divided into blocks to help with framing.
Settings to keep
If you're the type of person who uses the camera app's alternative modes more than Galaxy S24, this adjustment will make all the difference in use.
Still in the camera settings, look for Settings to keep. In this menu, you will have 4 options, all of which are things that will be saved when you close the app. The first is the Camera mode, that is, if you used the video last time, it will remember it. Selfie angle It will remember whether you used the normal or panoramic mode of the selfie mode. High resolution photos will remember your option if you choose to use the lenses 100 SM, for example. Finally, we have the Filters which can also be remembered if you want.
Change format to 9:16
If you like recording videos, especially for networks like TikTok, this new format included in the Galaxy S24 it was made for you. It can be accessed directly through the app Camera and it's right in the middle of the app, at the top.
By default, the format will be 3:4, but by tapping this button you can switch to the 9:16, both in photos and videos. As I said, this format makes life faster when recording something to be published on quick video networks, but it can also be used just as a way to stylize videos.
Increase megapixels to 50MP or 200MP
As with last year's models, the family Galaxy S24 It has incredible main lenses that can reach up to 200MP quality. However, this quality is not active all the time to save on file sizes.
To activate it is very easy. Just open the app Camera and at the top tap the icon written 12 SM on top. The 50MP and 200MP options should appear. Just select one of them and that's it, the photos will already be optimized for that quality.
I don't recommend leaving it like this all the time, after all the images have much more detail and are also heavier. Therefore, it is best to switch to these options when taking a photo that you think needs to have more details.
Increase video resolution to 4K or 8K
Recording videos in 4K already makes everything very beautiful, but 8K is even better, especially if you are someone who works in audiovisual. The process is very simple and similar to what we did in the previous tip.
in the app Camera, go to the ADIEX and tap on the top where it says FHD. A drop-down menu will appear with several options. In addition to 4K and variations of FPS of the FHD, the option 8K will also be available.
A bonus trick here is that if you want to have an even more cinematic video when recording in 8K, you can use the Professional Video, where the option 8K to 24FPS will be available, allowing you to record perfect scenes for use in short and feature films.
Enable Motion Photo
O Photo in motion is the alternative to live Photos da Apple , allowing you to have a snippet of that photo in motion, perfect for creating GIFs, especially. The feature is now available online S from Samsung a few years ago, but it is still a highlight of the new model.
To activate, open the app Camera and look right at the top. To the right of where you defined the Megapixels In the previous tips, you will have the option to activate or deactivate the Photo in motion. If it is white, it is deactivated. If it is yellow, it is active.
With this, you will be able to transform photos into short videos. I admit that it is a very specific feature and I suggest activating it only when you are going to use the features.
Zoom Shortcuts
At this point, you already realized that the Camera do Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+ e Galaxy s24 ultra It's full of things, right? One thing that may go unnoticed by many users and is super simple to use are the zoom shortcuts on the cameras.
Step 1: Install the Camera Assistant app available on the Galaxy Store and enter it. Although the system already has some shortcuts by default, with this app you will be able to activate some more, making it easier to use photos at these specific zooms.
Step 2: With the app already open, go to the first option where it says Zoom Shortcuts. The options available here will vary depending on the version of the Galaxy S24 that you have. In my case, with the Galaxy s24 ultra, I have the options 2x, 10x e 100x. In practice, this function will be useful because it is easy to access each of the lenses directly from your smartphone's home screen.
Auto HDR
Photos with good HDR make all the difference and with the power that Galaxy S24 offer, everything gets even better. To ensure that images have better contrast, with more details in dark areas, both in photos and videos, let's activate the Auto HDR.
To do this, let's go back to the app Camera Assistant and without many turns, let's go with the second option.
Photo smoothing
With Photo smoothing, you will be able to automatically adjust the details corners of the photos. Although it does not use the AI capabilities of Galaxy S24, it is an excellent function to make everything “sharper”.
To activate, go to the app Camera Assistant and then tap Photo smoothing. You can define whether you want to leave the resource off, medium or in high. The differences will vary according to the type of photo you want to take and it is not possible to form an opinion on whether to leave it activated or not, after all it will depend on how you want to use it.
Automatic lens changing
This is an option for you who, like me, do not work as a photographer. With it activated, the system will automatically change the lenses according to the zoom, lighting and distance to the object being photographed.
Still in the app Camera Assistant, you can find how to activate or deactivate this function in fourth option from the list.
Video recording in photo mode
It may seem silly to want a video mode in the photo function, but in this case it is a matter of facilities that the Galaxy S24 offers. Once again, you will find this feature in the app Camera Assistant.
Unlike the previous ones, this one requires you to scroll a little. You will have to activate the option Video recording in photo mode. If everything went well and the function is active, the next time you use the Camera, you can do the same in Instagram, pressing and holding the photo shutter to start a video.
Multi-shot timer
O Galaxy S24 It already comes with a factory timer so you can take planned photos, such as family selfies and other situations. But this can be improved with another of the functions included in the Camera Assistant.
in option Self-timer multi-shot options, you can change the dynamics of how the photos will be taken when the time you choose runs out. By default, when you choose, for example 2 seconds, when you tap the shutter, after those 2 seconds, a photo is taken and that's it.
With this option, you can change the dynamics, transforming the Timer in a type of photo session, which can take up to 7 photos, with an interval that can range from 1 second to 3 seconds between each photo. With the help of a tripod, this can be an interesting way to take well-structured photos even when you're alone.
Increase image size with AI
The main news with the family Galaxy S24 is being able to use AI to our advantage in everyday activities and also for more advanced features. One of these things is being able to redo the entire scenario in order to enlarge an image, ensuring greater realism and without losing content.
To do this, open your Gallery and choose any image that needs to “increase” the size. Tap it to open and then tap the pencil icon. This will take you to the edit menu of the Galaxy S24. On the left side, we will have a blue button with stars, the official icon of Galaxy A.I.. Tap it.
We will be placed in a special editing screen to choose what will be cut. To “expand” the photo, you need to pull the bar to the left or right, so that it creates new empty spaces in the photo. With this, the button generate It will be available and ready, just wait. It's a really cool and practical feature to use, as well as making our lives easier when we need a small adjustment to the photos.
move objects
If you are enjoying these Galaxy S24 Tips, enjoy it and send it to a friend. Our next trick follows the same path as the previous one, with the difference that instead of exploring the idea of creating a new “scenario”, we will cut something out of the image.
Step 1: Let's open the Gallery and choose a photo and then tap pencil icon. On the editing screen, tap the Galaxy A.I., on your left. In the editing menu that opens, draw or touch an area that you think is interesting.
Step 2: From there, if you tap and hold on the image, you will be able to drag its focus wherever you want and by tapping generate, the AI will do its work and try to remake the scenario according to the new position.
It's the type of tool that can be very useful for fixing small edges and flaws, but it becomes completely unusable if you move the position too much, since the scenery will be completely destroyed by the “reconstruction” of the scenery.
Erase objects
If you are already a subscriber to Google One a while ago and got to work on it in depth, you will realize that this and other resources now included in Galaxy S24 were already in Google Photos a long time ago. That said, for delete objects of your photos, we will have to choose a photo from the gallery and again tap the pencil icon.
When the photo opens in edit mode, tap the last icon on the right. This will open up some new functions. The first is called object eraser and let's touch it. The procedure is what we have already seen. Let's tap or draw on what we want to delete and then confirm in Delete.
The feature is very useful, but it will work better in situations where it doesn't need to “work” a lot. If you want to delete something very grotesque, it will be obvious that something strange happened there, often looking like a figure. It could work for horror-themed things, perhaps.
Remaster image
As the name suggests, this feature will take an existing photo and upgrade its quality, great for improving old or even new photos that are a little blurry or of below average quality.
At remaster a photo is very simple. From Gallery, tap a photo and then drag it upwards or tap the symbol with a I. The image details will appear and with them a floating button with the text Remaster.
Then just tap and wait for the AI to work on the photo. When you're ready, the app gives you a comparison of before and after the remastering to see whether or not it was worth doing that to that image.
Blur background
Taking advantage of the hook from the previous tip, if you open the Gallery his Galaxy S24 and open a photo of any item or person that is in the appropriate condition for the button. These conditions are that the person's face or the focus of the object in question is not too far away. In my case, all I had to do was crop the photo a little for the feature to appear.
With that done, when dragging up on a photo, the button Blur background will appear, allowing you to add this effect even to photos that weren't originally made like this.
Create photo stickers
Sending stickers has become a constant habit on chat apps. At the Galaxy S24, you can create your own in a super easy way, straight from Gallery.
With it open, tap a photo and then tap and hold on a part of the image that you want to focus on. A very beautiful effect will happen on the screen and next to that the option Save as sticker. This will automatically save the crop and give you the option to add a custom outline and some special effects to the photo.
So far, there is no native way to send these stickers directly to WhatsApp, making it necessary to use a third-party app so that they function as stickers and not images in the messenger app.
Transform traditional video into slow-motion
If you open your Gallery in any Galaxy S24, even if he is not in slow-motion, you can add this effect easily. To do this, you just need to tap and hold the screen while watching the video. In testing, however, I noticed that in videos with HDR10 + this feature does not work.
If you like the effect, you can still tap the pencil icon and add slow motion effect permanently to the video. If you want to keep the original too, just Save as copy when you finish editing.
Take photos or record video with the S Pen
This is an exclusive tip for users of Galaxy s24 ultra, after all he is the only one with the S Pen. For everything to work well here, you need to configure your S Pen appropriately.
To do this, let's go to the Settings and then in Advanced Features. In S Pen, search for Suspended Actions and activate it. Here we will have a multitude of options and tutorials on how to use the smart pen. What we want is further down, in the app Camera. So just tap on it and check if everything is activated.
This screen will also give you a basic education on everything the S Pen can do in the Camera app. Some that I can mention here are pressing once to take a photo/record video, or pressing twice to switch between the front and rear cameras.
Galaxy AI Chat translation
Finally we come to the part where the IA takes care of Galaxy S24. The first great ability that the new smartphones from Samsung What they can do is translate texts from their keyboard. For now, the function is only available in specific apps. In my case, just WhatsApp, Messages e Instagram.
To use, open your keyboard in a message in any of these apps and then go to Galaxy AI symbol at the top of the keyboard. Three options will appear, but we will stick with Conversation Translation. After tapping on it, the system will automatically recognize the source text and what needs to be translated.
If the translation was chosen in the wrong language, you can drag the button that appears on the screen to the left to configure the language. It's an easy-to-use and very practical resource for understanding languages we don't understand. However, it is worth noting that the translation is that of the Google translator, so a lot of it is without context and should not be used as absolute truth, just as a guide.
Galaxy AI Interpreter
With this improvement of IA of the new Galaxy S24, you will be able to speak to anyone in the world in any language. The technology can translate in real time and tell you everything that is being said with a voice that you configure in the app.
You need to activate the feature there at advanced features and then in Advanced Intelligence. Touch Interpreter and install the language pack you want. To use, pull down the notification bar and look for Interpreter, choose your languages and that's it, just enjoy.
AI Voice Note Summaries
Still with the AI resources, now let's go to the Voice recorder. Let's say you did an interview and you need it in text, or you received a very long audio and you can't listen to it at the moment.
Through the app Voice recorder Now you can open a recording and ask your system's AI to Galaxy S24 transcribe this audio for you. Record the audio and then open it. The app will suggest making a transcription. Accept and that's it.
AI Webpage Summaries
Last but not least, you also have a Internet browser much smarter thanks to IA implemented in Galaxy S24. With this feature you can request web page summaries and translations.
These extra functions only work in the app Internet da Samsung (the purple one) and using them is very simple. On any web page, look for the symbol IA, represented by stars, at the bottom of the screen. Tap on it and the options Summarize e Translate will be at your disposal.
