Microsoft launches Copilot+ PC with AI-optimized notebooks

Today (20/5) Microsoft launched the Copilot+ PCs, a new category of Windows devices designed for AI. At the launch event, a new system architecture was presented that integrates the power of CPU, GPU and a neural processing unit (NPU) high performance. Copilot+ PCs also offer up to 22 hours of local video playback or 15 hours of web browsing on a single charge. Windows now offers the fastest, best-in-class implementation of applications on the chip, starting with Qualcomm. More native Arm64 experiences are included, including rapid deployments of Microsoft 365 applications like Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive and OneNote. Chrome, Spotify, Zoom, WhatsApp, Blender, Affinity Suite, DaVinci Resolve and many others run natively on Arm, ensuring great performance. Additional apps like Slack will be released later this year. Recall leverages your personal semantic index, created and stored entirely on your device. You snapshots (the memories) are yours; they remain locally on your PC. You can delete individual snapshots, adjust and delete time ranges in Settings, or pause at any time directly from the system tray icon on the taskbar. Additionally, you can filter apps and websites from being saved.

Media generation by AI

Since the launch of the ImageCreator, nearly 10 billion images have been generated, allowing more people to bring their ideas to life easily, using natural language to describe what they want to create.
