Galaxy Unpacked Day 2025 also marks the day of updates to Galaxy AI, Samsung's artificial intelligence platform. AI is now more integrated with the operating system and third-party apps, allowing a variety of tasks to be performed with just a voice command. Let's go through each of the new features.
Search + Calendar
Have you ever had to do a search and then need to save everything to your calendar in at least three steps? With just one voice command, you can ask the Gemini search for event dates and save them to your calendar so you don't miss any special events.
Imagine you want to know when that festival is happening and you want to see several shows, but you need to plan ahead. Just ask for the search to be done and Samsung's AI will make all the reservations.
Search + WhatsApp
With Search + WhatsApp, you can search the internet and ask for the simplified results to be sent directly to someone on the messaging app (or to yourself, in the chat with your contact). You can even ask the AI to list the best restaurants in a city you're going to visit with your girlfriend, and send the list to her via WhatsApp, all with just voice commands.
YouTube + Notes
Another integration of the Galaxy A.I. is with YouTube and the application Samsung Notes. It will be possible to order from Gemini that creates a complete summary of a video that is playing on the screen and checks it all in the Notes app. You can also ask that, if it is a video about travel, it lists the places visited by the content creators and everything is saved in Notes.
Photo + Recipe
This is one of the coolest features: when you take a photo of a dish, you not only get all the information about it, but also step-by-step instructions on how to make it at home. And of course, you can send it or save it to the Notes app so you can look at it later when you get home.
Solving mathematical exercises
One of the biggest new features of Galaxy AI is that it can now also solve mathematical exercises. Galaxy A.I. It will be able to interpret all the steps and tell you how the calculation was done, but it can also give you the answer to the question point by point, detailing why each answer is correct or wrong.
Smart Call Recorder
Samsung took advantage of the launch of the new Galaxy S25 to launch a new voice recorder that can not only record phone calls, but also transcribe audio to text, as well as summaries of what was discussed between the two people.
Now Brief
Already talking about Now Brief, this new feature can be explained as a summary of the activities you have to do on a daily basis, which also takes into account health data about your day. When you wake up, you will receive information about how your night's sleep was and the commitments according to your schedule.
At night, the Now Brief, cited among the rumors, will show you how your day went, including daily health goals achieved and upcoming appointments for the next day. It's like having a personal secretary integrated into the apps you use every day, without having to pay anything for it.
Now Bar
Finally, the Now Bar can be explained as a dynamic Android island, which shows quick information from an application, such as music streaming. On the lock screen, it will be possible to see the music player and also check quick information without having to unlock the screen, through the Always On Display.
What do you think of all the new features from Galaxy AI? For now, the features are exclusive to the new Galaxy S25 launched today, but newer models such as the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold6, Galaxy Z Flip6 and other devices should receive Samsung's new interface via Android 15 in the coming months.
