The fair opened another edition with the seal of inevitable Artificial Intelligence, according to Reuters. After all, AIs are gaining more and more space and are seeking to convert online devices into even more sophisticated, intelligent and even human products. Among other new developments, autonomous vehicles also stood out this year (see below).
The focus on mobility is nothing new at the fair, which year after year brings incredible concepts, prototypes and car launches. Among them are renowned brands, such as KIA, Honda and BMW.
The AI capabilities demonstrated this year apparently make drivers even safer through better virtual assistants and in-vehicle cabin monitors. In addition to the benefits for the end consumer, many automakers are also adopting AI at various stages of production to reduce costs.
But the focus will not just be on vehicles. The Japanese NEC, for example, will reveal software that allows mobile devices to analyze facial patterns and pupil conditions to estimate human vital signs and mental state.
