A new update on Android already released to Brazilians, via interface Material 3 Expressive, now allows you to have a personalized card for your favorite contacts and see a special image whenever you call or receive a call. In this tutorial, we teach you how to create a contact card on Android. See all the screens and create yours in under five minutes!
The new Android update

Announced in May of this year, the Material 3 Expressive will be used as a basis for the Android 16, which has already started to be released for Google's Pixel smartphones and some Samsung foldable smartphones.
The idea is to have a more minimalist aesthetic, but still bring an advanced customization system, allowing users to put much more of their personality and style into their smartphone, without the need for third-party apps.
Various standard applications Android such as Clock and Phone, have already been updated with the Material 3 Expressive, even if they don't have it yet Android 16Google has made automatic updates for these system apps simpler, so you can just enjoy new features like the contact card on Android.

Let's learn how to do this and, if you use smartphones Samsung Galaxy, which have a default One UI Phone app, we also teach it as a calling card.
Step by step
Step 01: Open the app Phone do Google, on the home screen or in your Apps menu. It's the same app we use to make calls.

Step 02: Tap the three lists in the lower right corner. Here:

Step 03: when a new window appears, click Settings.

Step 04: tap Contact card.

Step 05: click in Add.

On the next screen, select the contact you want to create a contact card for.
Step 06: Now, you will need to choose a photo for the contact card in Android. You can take a new photo or select a photo from the Gallery ou Google Photos.

Step 07: With the photo uploaded, you can adjust the cropping using the pinch gesture, as well as change the font and color of the contact that will appear when you receive a call or call the person. Tap Completed when you have finished editing.

Now, whenever you receive a call from someone with a contact card, you'll see their contact card. Like this:

Step by step on Samsung smartphones
The application Phone One UI allows you to create a business card for all your contacts and the process is similar to that of Google, but there are some modifications. See the screenshots below.
Step 01: access the application Phone on your smartphone Samsung.

Step 02: search for the contact you want to create the personalized card for.

Step 03: when the contact is open, click Create profile card.

Step 04: on the next screen, select the photo that will be used on the contact card.

Step 05: Now you can select multiple effects on the photo by swiping your finger across the screen.

In the same section, you can change the font color, style, etc. To adjust the photo crop, simply pinch it. To see how the photo will look on the contact card, you can tap Visualize.
Step 06: when you finish editing, just tap Conclude.

When the person calls you or you call them, the contact card will appear on the screen, as you just edited it. See this example:

It is worth remembering that both in the app Google, as in the app Samsung, contact cards are saved in your account, so you don't need to create new ones if you change your smartphone.
