Announced in May of this year, the Material 3 Expressive will be used as a basis for the Android 16, which has already started to be released for Google's Pixel smartphones and some Samsung foldable smartphones.

The idea is to have a more minimalist aesthetic, but still bring an advanced customization system, allowing users to put much more of their personality and style into their smartphone, without the need for third-party apps.

Various standard applications Android such as Clock and Phone, have already been updated with the Material 3 Expressive, even if they don't have it yet Android 16Google has made automatic updates for these system apps simpler, so you can just enjoy new features like the contact card on Android.
