Kotas: see how to pay less on YouTube Premium, Spotify and other services

In early 2024, Kotas announced via email that it would be canceling certain groups due to commercial issues. These groups included major streaming services like Netflix, Max, Apple TV and many others. One of the reasons that may have led to the end of support for these services on the platform is the end of sharing profiles and passwords in these streams, which are requiring account owners to pay for additional users. However, despite the cancellation, users were not harmed, reinforcing the platform's commitment to a safe and structured environment.

How to sign up and start paying less with Kotas

In just a few steps, you can join the member groups of the services you want to subscribe to.

Access the website kotas and create your account: Just click the “Sign up”, located in the upper right corner of the home page, and you will be redirected to the registration page.

Choose the registration method: On the registration page, you can create your account using a e-mail or register through your account Facebook, or Google.

Explore the platform: Once registered, you will be directed to the website's home page, where you can start exploring the platform and discover the different services available.

Select a plan and customize your group: Choose one of the available plans, which will show the full subscription price.

Then customize your group however you like, including name, rules e contacts for support. You will also see how much members will pay for this service, including you. For example, in the case of YouTube Premium, the subscription costs R$41,90 per month and at Kotas you pay R$10,48 a month.

Add credits to your account: After finding or creating a group with the desired service, add credits to your account. Click in "My Credits” in the upper right corner and then “Add".

Select the desired amount and make payment via Mercado Pago, PicPay, Bank slip, Pix ou Credit card.

Important note: Unlike conventional subscriptions, in Kotas you must pay the primeiro month and the last as a form of guarantee, in case you leave before the month ends so that the group administrator does not lose out.

Wait for administrator acceptance: With the credits in your account and the group chosen, you will only need to wait for the group administrator to accept you to start using the service. Kotas offers an email and telephone number if you want to get in touch to speed up the process and receive the email and password to access the service. However, most of the time, the process is quick and the administrator himself calls you to grant all access.
