CES may be over, but the D-Link continues to bring news straight from Las Vegas. It is the case of your new DCS-8330LH camera and new devices mydlink that rely on technology Zigbee which were one of the company's highlights for the technology fair.
With wireless communication technology, the new sensors are connected to the camera, so as to promote a smart hub for the whole environment. Users can receive alerts from sensors and trigger automations, such as recording videos and storing them in the cloud or turning on lights, for example. The mydlink ecosystem is made up of easy-to-administer camera, plugs and sockets that work with Google Assistant and Alexa.
D-Link: smart home
A DCS-8330LH supports Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) features such as differentiating between moving objects and humans to reduce false alarms. Additional features include Full HD resolution and Bluetooth compatibility.
Other products that benefit from Zigbee technology are the mydlink door/window alarm; mydlink motion sensor and the mydlink Smart Plug, which offers programmable control to turn the power on and off via an app.
The sensors, in turn, provide real-time push notifications on the user's phone when a door or window is opened or when movement is detected and the anti-tamper function prevents theft.
In addition, the door/window alarm has an “ignore” button for situations where users do not want the sensor to be triggered. For now, the forecast of the arrival of the products to the Brazilian market is foreseen for the third quarter of this year. Product availability and pricing may vary by region.
winning router
But don't go thinking that only smart homes lived by D-Link at CES 2019. On the contrary. Oh, and a winner too. It's about the router DWR-2010, one of the award recipients CES Innovation Awards. What does he promise and deliver? Simply 5G internet.
To give you an idea, it is internet access with speeds ten times faster than the standard LTE 4G current. And oh, remember Zigbee? It enters this basket as well, promoting connected environments, among other advantages. Another feature is the Wi-Fi Mesh, which creates smart grids for larger spaces.
Despite the news, the device is not compatible with Wi-Fi 6, latest technology for brand products. D-Link has not yet released the price of the router, which is also not expected to arrive in Brazil.
