Winner of Oscar for Best Picture for 2017, Moonlight: Under the Moonlight portrays the journey of self-discovery of Chiron in three distinct phases: childhood as Little (Alex Hibbert), a fragile boy who finds refuge in John (Mahershala Ali) e Teresa (Janelle Monae) of his mother's drug addiction Paula (Naomie Harris); adolescence, where, already as Chiron (Ashton Sanders), deals with his own sexuality and complex friendship with Kevin (Jharrel Jerome); and adult life as Black (Trevante Rhodes), a hardened man who must confront the ghosts of his past, especially the lasting impact of his relationship with Kevin (André Holland).
