Samsung has officially unveiled its new generation of smartwatches at Galaxy Unpacked, with 3 new models: Galaxy Watch8, Galaxy Watch8 Classic and a slight update of the Galaxy Watch Ultra for 2025. System and interface

The interface One UI 8 for Watches, executed on the Google's Wear OS 6, is optimized to take full advantage of high-brightness displays. Samsung highlights that the new design, based on Blocks with various information provide quick and easy access to health metrics, weather, events, and more—all in one convenient view.
In addition, the new Now Bar and detailed notifications ensure that key activities are always highlighted, such as music information, timer, and more. This new feature draws from the source of Live Features do Android 16, which will soon support third-party apps and allow you to track orders, trips, and more, right from your Now Bar, just as it already happens on smartphones with One UI 7.
Navigation is intuitive, fluid, and complemented by advanced sensors that are present in all variants, enabling the same level of precision in health and performance monitoring.

The integration of Ask Gemini in the new Galaxy Watch8, Watch 8 Classic and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025 represents a major advancement for Samsung smartwatches. The new models unveiled today at Galaxy Unpacked are the first in the smartwatch category to feature the smart feature powered by Google AI, replacing the legacy Google Assistant.
Through it, the user can use natural voice commands like “Hey Google” or press the side button for quick queries, schedule adjustments, email summaries, reminders, and even start workouts without having to touch the screen, all directly from the wrist.
Sleep measurement

Using three days of data, the new watches offer tailored sleep guidance, including ideal bedtime suggestions, helping users develop healthy habits based on a personalized routine. Additionally, they provide detailed analysis of sleep stages, consistency, heart rate, and blood oxygen levels throughout the night.
Continuous heart health monitoring will also be performed while the user sleeps, requiring at least four hours of nighttime use for three consecutive nights. Based on the data collected, the devices generate helpful suggestions, such as changes in diet or sleep habits.

The function of sleep coaching helps users sleep better based on in-depth analysis of sleep patterns over 3 to 4 weeks, including regularity, consistency, timing, and previous day's activities.

Another unique feature of the new devices is the antioxidant sensor, making them the first smartwatches to measure carotenoid levels in the skin. This feature allows you to assess dietary quality and the impacts of lifestyle on health and aging, offering a new dimension to personal care. Simply touch your thumb to the sensor to receive real-time information, as shown in the photo above.
Monitoring physical exercises

The new watches also act as a personal trainer on your wrist. They feature a personalized running program that assesses the user's level on a scale of 1 to 10 and, based on that, proposes a three- to five-week training plan. This feature is suitable for both beginners and experienced runners, allowing the user to set goals and track their progress conveniently.

Additionally, during workouts, the watch also monitors the vascular load, indicating the level of physical effort and providing useful data for controlling energy throughout the day.

The watch allows you to accurately track your records and routes, thanks to its improved GPS system. This feature is useful for those training in cities, trails, and natural environments alike, providing valuable data for progress and safety during training.

Design

O Galaxy Watch8 features a revamped design, making it the thinnest watch ever released in the Galaxy Watch line. Its appearance is marked by smooth lines that flow from the dial to the base, forming a refined body with the so-called padded design, which gives the watch an elegant and distinctive edge.
It is available in two main colors: gray and white. The straps match the device's premium finish and integrate seamlessly with the body, reinforcing the watch's minimalist and modern look.
Already Galaxy Watch8 Classic combines the timeless charm of an analog watch with the technological sophistication of a cutting-edge smartwatch. Its design is marked by the introduction of the new cushion design, which features a rounded and refined body that elegantly houses the internal components.

Additionally, the device includes a physical side button with tactile click, called the QuickButton, which serves both as a design element and to activate functions conveniently. The watch is available with cases in two classic colors: black and white, which easily complement any style, from casual to formal. The bracelets adhere to the premium standard, offering comfort and a secure fit for everyday and sports use.

The model screen 40 mm measures 1,34″, while the model of 44m has a 1,47″ display and Samsung emphasizes that they are designed to offer maximum visibility in any environment. With a brightness of up to 3.000 nits, it guarantees readability even in bright sunlight.
This allows the user to view their statistics, messages and functions clearly during outdoor activities or in brightly lit environments, making it an excellent choice for those looking for performance and practicality in their daily lives.
O Galaxy Watch8 Classic, in turn, continues with the same 1,34" screen as the last Watch6 Classic, offering a clean and highly visible interface. Furthermore, browsing through content is favored by the combination of the touchscreen with the Rotating Bezel, allowing for a precise interactive experience even on the go. This device, an icon of the Classic line, returns to provide fluid, precise, and intuitive navigation through the watch's menus.

Memory and storage
The new ones Galaxy Watch8, Watch8 Classic e WatchUltra share a solid hardware and system foundation, offering a smooth and consistent experience across the lineup. All models come equipped with 2 GB of RAM, which guarantees agile performance when browsing, using applications and executing voice commands.

As far as internal storage is concerned, the Galaxy Watch8 standard has 32 GB, sufficient for everyday use; the versions Classic e Ultra elevate this space to 64 GB, ideal for those who want to store offline music, maps, apps and health data with more freedom.
Connectivity
Both Galaxy Watch8 as much as Galaxy Watch8 Classic will maintain the line's tradition, offering connectivity via Bluetooth e Wi-Fi, in addition to versions with support for eSIM to LTE connections independent. Compared to the previous model, the new Galaxy Watch Ultra had an increase of 32 GB to 64 GB of internal memory and will now use the Wear OS 6 with Gemini (e One UI 8 for Watches), in addition to having a blue bracelet.
The previous model's screen remains the same, measuring 1,47 and peak brightness of up to 3.000 nits with support for the technology Always On Display. The battery also remained the same, delivering a long battery life compared to the models launched today by Samsung. The company claims it can run for up to 100 hours in Max Power Saving Mode (about 4 full days) and 48 hours in Exercise Power Saving Mode.
The model is IP68 certified (ensuring it is waterproof) and 10ATM, which allows diving to depths of up to 100 meters.
Price and availability

The Galaxy Watch 8 will cost US$ 349,99 (40mm model, and approximately R$ 1912 in direct conversion) e US$399 (44 mm model, R$2180).
The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic will cost US$ 379 (40 mm model, R$ 2070) e US$429 (44 mm model, R$2344). Finally, the new Galaxy Watch Ultra will cost US$ 649,99 (R$ 3.546 in conversion).
All new models do not yet have an official price in reais, but they go on pre-sale starting today, 9 July, including in Brazil, with general availability from the day 25 July.
