O Golden Raspberry is an award that “honors” the worst feature films, directors, casts and producers as a way of opposing the Oscar, which traditionally happens the next day, being treated as an innocent joke by Hollywood.

Blonde was the biggest victim of the night with the award for worst picture of 2022, starring Ana de Armas and directed by Andrew Dominic; the daring biography of Marilyn Monroe did not have a good reception and was the victim of this edition of Raspberry with more nominations, eight in total.

The villain's long morbius, bet of Sony to the shared universe of Spider-Man, had a poor performance in the year and was also honored at the awards. Tom Hanks, who dubbed the Pinocchio da Disney and interpreted Elvis, was also a highlight. The latex-covered face in the rock star's film and the poor quality of Pinocchio are the reasons for the actor's three nominations.

Controversy

The worst actress award was responsible for a small crisis on social networks, as the nominee Ryan Kiera, 12, was dropped from the nominations list after the awards came under fire for nominating such a young actress for a negative, albeit satirical, award. After this situation, Golden Raspberry decided not to award in the category, announcing the event as a symbolic winner and a minimum age of 18 for the next editions.
