O Google Nest Hub is a smart display, much like a tablet, that can be placed anywhere in the house to assist you in everyday tasks, such as watching YouTube videos, checking real-time traffic information, listening to music via streaming, podcasts, etc.
The second version of gadgets retains the design of the first model launched in 2018, a screen touch 1024 x 600 pixels and 4 color options: Chalk, Charcoal, Sand and Mist. One of the big news in the new Nest Hub is the redesign of the audio system, which will feature improved speakers and a gain of around 50% in bass reproduction.
A new processor was also incorporated into the device, which will bring more performance in performing numerous tasks. The technology Salt is also being implemented. It is a feature that identifies gestures and people nearby to execute certain commands using various built-in sensors. However, gesture identification is limited to simple functions such as pausing or playing content.
Soli is also responsible for the option Sleep Sensing, developed to extract the potential of these sensors and analyze their behavior while sleeping, storing information such as sleep quality, snoring, room brightness and ambient temperature, in order to identify situations that may interfere with your moment of rest, displaying a report when the person wakes up.
Google guarantees that such a function does not qualify as a violation of user privacy, and reiterates that all monitoring is carried out locally, that is, only via hardware do Google Nest Hub — is not stored on company servers.
Compatibility with the standard Connected Home Over IP is also another novelty that comes to the second version of the Google Nest Hub. With this technology, it is possible for the device to connect with other devices smart from different brands, in order to facilitate the assembly of a smart home with numerous Gadgets.
O Google Nest Hub is on pre-sale in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Australia and France with a suggested price of US$ 99 (R$ 559,95 in direct conversion, excluding taxes), and scheduled to launch on 30 December.
