Google News Initiative and support for startups

Each selected company will receive US$ 20 thousand in investments and, in addition to the Google, Insper's team of teachers will also participate in the activities.
Startups will receive mentoring, training and workshops on topics such as strategy, product, business model, sales and marketing, community building and fundraising. At the end of the program, startups will also be able to present their businesses to a bank of investors.
“We understand that Brazil has an interesting market to understand how entrepreneurship and innovation can help the news ecosystem. Our idea is not only to pass on knowledge, but also to learn from companies”
says Fabiana, adding that in the future, the knowledge generated will be replicated with the journalistic community.
O RUB emerged in 2018 and, as the name suggests, is aimed at initiatives that include innovation challenges and laboratories. The city of São Paulo is one of seven in the world to have a space for Google for Startups, and its Campus, opened in 2016, has already received acceleration programs for several startups that are very famous nowadays, such as Nubank.
