Hey Brawlers, ready for a complete guide on Brawl Stars? Here you will find information about how the game works, a presentation of each character released so far, as well as being up to date with the game types available.

knowing the game

Brawl Stars is a mobile electronic game focused on battle arena, online multiplayer and third-person skills, developed and published by the game production company Supercell.

The mobile game focuses on battle arena styles with multiplayer mode. In it, you choose which character (known as brawler) you want to play and in which type of event you want to compete. You will always have daily and seasonal missions to guide you, but you can also play any fixed event you want to increase trophies and develop your characters, for example.

There are several maps, game modes and infinite strategies with the characters that can be developed. And the best of all is that you can form a team with your friends and create a campaign that is efficient during matches. In this guide on how to play Brawl Stars, for example, you will be able to better understand some points in more depth.

Regarding the controls, they are very intuitive, as shown in the video above. Can you move your brawler across the screen with a virtual joystick and shoot with another, always holding down to aim. As you manage to hit your opponents, your super is charged until it is complete and can be used (using a button located next to the joystick). You can access the settings and change the positions of the controls on the screen and adjust the game volume.

Characters (Brawlers)

Each of the characters (brawlers) have their own characteristics and gameplay, including an attack ability called “super”, activated each time attack energy accumulates. To date, the game has 78 brawlers available in Brawl Stars. A new one is released every season.

You know those symbols in the top right corner of the image above? So they are called accessories, gear, star power, other gear and, depending on the brawler, hypercharge. Each accessory and star power has perks that vary from character to character.

Finally, the characters are divided into categories:

  • executioner: These are characters that move faster, but on the other hand have fewer health points. They are strong against the Detonator and Precise Shot categories, but are weaker against Tank and Destroyer.
  • Check: They are characters capable of mastering several areas at the same time. They are very strong against opponents with unfavorable positions on the map, but on the other hand, they are more fragile in individual combats.
  • Destroyer: These are the characters that inflict a lot of damage and manage to reach high levels of health. They are strong against the Tank and Torment categories, but fragile with Precise Shot and Detonator.
  • Detonator: These are the characters who can launch their attacks over walls and obstacles. They are strong against enemies that tend to hide behind walls, but are more fragile against Tank and Torment.
  • Tank: These are the characters who have a high level of health. They are strong against Torment and close-range enemies, but are more fragile against the Destroyer category.
  • Support: These are characters with healing abilities or capable of giving a boost to allies. As the name suggests, they are great supports for characters that do more damage, but at the same time, they are the weakest category compared to the others.
  • Precise Shot: They are very good characters at dealing damage from a distance. They are strong when they can stay away from enemies, but they are more fragile against Slaughterer and Detonator, for example, when they are closer.

Game modalities and character tips

Brawl Stars has several types of games (events) available and, from time to time, launches something different. Within each event there is also a variety of seasonally changed maps. Check out the modalities created so far.

Basketball-Brawl

Played in 3v3 team mode, in this event you have to throw the ball into the opponent's mobile basket. It is possible to score 2 points up close and 3 points behind the line. The match ends when one of the teams reaches 5 points or when time runs out.

Starcatcher

Learn how to play Starbuster in the Brawl Stars beginner's guide. In this mode, you need to hunt your opponents for stars as a reward. The more stars a player has above his head, the more valuable he is. The team that reaches 20 stars first wins. If time runs out before either side reaches that score, whoever has the most stars wins. If there is a tie, the team with the blue star wins the match.

Cyber Chaos

The objective of Cybernetic Chaos is to defend, together with your team, the safe from a giant robot and his smaller helpers. The higher the level, the more difficult it becomes. Small robots appear in waves, and in total there are four types of them. Their boss can have a more melee attack and also launch rockets.

Combat

In solo combat, 10 players compete for survival while a toxic cloud invades the map, increasingly surrounding and closing the combat area. In other words, you can die to the enemy or to the cloud, depending on the battle time and positioning.

The more energy cubes you accumulate, the more strength you will have to fight your enemies.

Double combat

Learn with the Brawl Stars beginner's guide to play Duo Fighting. Here, 5 pairs of players compete for survival. The event follows the same logic as solitary combat and also features a toxic cloud that will invade the map during the battle between teams.

The objective is to eliminate the other four teams. If you are defeated and your partner is still alive, you will return to the game after a few seconds.

Extermination

Learn from the Brawl Stars beginner's guide how to play Slayer mode. In this event, two teams made up of three players each need to eliminate their opponents. Each elimination gives the team one point. The first team to reach the maximum number of points wins the match.

If the game time runs out, the team with the most points wins. If there is a draw at the end, the match will be ended without extra time.

Trophy Escape

In this mode, you have to face other players to win trophies and escape with them once the exit zones are released in the game. They usually open when half of the players have already been eliminated or when the countdown begins. Additionally, the event features some robots that drop trophies and energy cubes to increase health and attack damage.

Fute-Brawl

Learn in this Brawl Stars beginner's guide how to play Fute-Brawl. Played in 3v3, the objective of this event is to hit the ball into the enemy team's goal to score a point. The match ends when one of the teams scores two goals or at the end of the time. If it ends in a draw, there will be an extension without obstacles.

Knockout

This is a 3v3 event. The objective is to knock out the opposing team in a best-of-three-rounds format. Defeated Brawlers are out of the game until the end of the round. After a while, toxic clouds rise from the edges. Whoever wins two rounds first wins the contest.

Pique-gema

Learn in the Brawl Stars guide how to play Pique-Gema. In this event, two teams composed of 3 players each play. In it, you need to collect gems that appear from the gem mine in the center of the map. Or pick up those left behind by defeated enemies. The team that manages to hold ten gems during the entire countdown to win wins.

It is important to note that when a player is defeated, all the gems they had with them fall on the map, allowing opponents to pick them up, so be careful!

Boss Robot

Learn in this Brawl Stars beginner's guide how to play Boss Robot. In it, three players face a boss robot with a high health bar and some smaller robots, which appear with the aim of disrupting everything. The difficulty of this mode increases with each battle won, going from normal level to levels within the Insane category.

If you die in the middle of the battle, you can return to the fight, as long as at least one of your allies is still alive. If everyone dies, they lose the game.

Theft

In this mode, two teams of three players face each other, with the objective of destroying each other's safe (positioned on the other side of the map). The first safe to be destroyed is the defeated team. If time runs out and none of the safes have been completely destroyed, whoever suffered the most damage loses.

All Against One

In this event, randomly and assorted, you have the chance to be the hunted or the hunter. In rule, five players need to defeat a Boss Brawler.

If you fall as the Boss, you will have a huge power advantage and lots of life points. As one of the hunters, teamwork is essential to take down the big guy before time runs out.

Strategic Zone

Strategic Zone mode is a 3v3 event. In it, you need to dominate the strategic zones by staying within them. The team that conquers all areas of the map first wins. Both teams can invade areas of the map at the same time, so it's always a good idea to keep opponents at a distance. If time runs out, the team with the highest percentage achieved in the zones wins.
