In a post on the Windows Insider Blog, Microsoft announced two new features for users of Microsoft Paint and Notepad. The writing support and photo editing features don't yet have a set date for when they will be available to everyone, but they are exciting in several ways.         Anyone in the Windows Insider program can use AI in Notepad in a very simple way: just select the text, press the right mouse button and click on “Rewrite”. It will also be possible to activate the functionality through the shortcutCTRL + I.

        Once AI in Notepad is activated, a dialog box will open where you can select the intonation of your texts. There are options like “Longest”, “Pitch Selection” and “Format” above the “Replace” button. If you don’t want to use this feature, you can disable it in the Settings.

        The feature is a way to prevent you from writing all the content and then having to paste it into other tools, such as Copilot or himself Chat GPT, most used worldwide by everyone. An internet connection will be required.

        Availability

        At this first moment, the AI ​​functionalities in Notepad and Paint were released only to those who are part of the Windows Insider program, which provides advance information about the operating system.
