O Galaxy Unpacked Paris 2024 takes place on July 10, 2024, from 10 am Brasília time and the showmetech teaches you how to watch the launches first hand. We will also talk about what could be presented, according to some leaks.
Expected products
A Samsung is a company that never comments on leaks about its new products, but the information becomes available on the internet about weeks before the big event takes place. Check out what is being speculated about the company's new foldable smartphones, smart watches and even the company's smart ring, which will be named Galaxy Ring.
Galaxy z fold6
Great highlight of the events that Samsung takes place during the second half of the year, one of the most speculated changes about the Galaxy z fold6 It's in the structure: it is expected that, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, a more powerful version of Samsung's new foldable smartphone will have a titanium body. Furthermore, it can have more rectangular edges, providing more resistance and lightness.
If you expect any changes to the internal screen, leave this thought aside: the Galaxy Z Fold6 should continue with the same 7,6-inch internal screen, but have a Dynamic AMOLED panel with 2.160×1.856 resolution. The external screen, which will be updated to the OLED panel, will be 6,3 inches (0,1 inch gain compared to the previous version), with 2.376×986 resolution.
Another big change (and this one, quite expected) could happen in the cameras. It is speculated that the new generation of the foldable smartphone from Samsung have a 50 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide camera and a 10 MP telephoto camera. Changes to the selfie lenses are not expected: the front camera on the larger screen should be a 4 MP lens and another 10 MP lens should be located on the outside.
There are rumors that an Ultra version will be presented by Samsung and this model could have a 200 MP main camera, delivering a content experience even closer to what we see in the Galaxy S line. One of the rumors that tends to be confirmed is that photos and videos should get even better with the update. Galaxy A.I..
The device's battery should not undergo any changes: it should be 4.400 mAh and may support wired charging of up to 25W, the same as we saw in the Galaxy z fold5. The device should be launched with Android 14 and a new version of Samsung One UI. The company must keep its promise to update its premium devices for up to 7 years.
Following launches from previous years as an example, the same processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy S24 Ultra must be present in the Galaxy z fold6. The device can have options from 8 to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB and 1 TB of internal storage.
Let's go to prices? It is speculated that the Galaxy Z Fold6 with 256 GB and 8 GB of RAM could cost US$1999 (R$11.159 in direct conversion).
For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold5 was launched in Brazil with a suggested price starting at R$13.799, but nowadays it can be found for R$ 10.390 at Amazon in the most complete variant (1 TB of internal storage and 12 GB of RAM).
Galaxy z flip6
Most of the changes seen in the Galaxy z fold6 can be seen on Galaxy z flip6: the new device must also have a titanium structure that will make it lighter and more resistant. The screens should not undergo any changes: the smallest screen should remain 3,4 inches (748×720) and when opened, the device will have a 6,7-inch screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The cameras should be the biggest change in this model: rumors suggest that the model will have a 50 MP main camera, but it could also happen that a 12 MP ultrawide lens will be the camera's choice. Samsung. The selfie camera on the internal screen should be 10 MP, no changes compared to the 2023 model.
Moving on to the internal details, the processor chosen by Samsung for this model must also be the Snapdragon 8 Gen3. The model can have versions with 256 GB or 512 GB internal storage and will have 8 GB of RAM in both variants.
The battery must be another increase: it becomes 4.000 mAh in Galaxy z flip6, presenting a gain of 300 mAh. Wired charging could be 25W and there will be support for wireless charging, speculated to be 15W. Be sure to check out our review about the Galaxy Z Flip5 published in 2023.
Price rumors indicate that the simplest version with 256 GB of internal storage could cost US$1.100 (R$6.242 in direct conversion).
For comparison, the Galaxy z flip5 started to be sold from R$7.999 in 2023 and, nowadays, it can be purchased for R$ 3.589 in its most complete version in Magalu.
Galaxy Watch7
Two smart watch models are expected for the Samsung event in Paris: Galaxy Watch7 e Galaxy Watch7 Ultra. The processor chosen by Samsung is Exynos W1000, the company's first self-manufactured processor with a three-nanometer architecture.
The new smartwatches are expected to launch with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage (double what was seen on the Galaxy Watch6), including the basics we saw in previous generations: blood pressure monitoring, body composition measurements, features ECG monitoring, fitness monitoring, oxygen saturation monitoring, sleep monitoring and temperature monitoring.
The changes to the Watch7 in relation to the 2023 model are more internal than external: rumors suggest that the model should have 40mm cases (with a 1,3-inch screen, in Black, Green and Cream colors) and 44 mm (with a 1,5 inch, in Green and Silver colors), with native support for Bluetooth and 4G in some variants. Some leaked photos also indicate that the boxes are made of aluminum or stainless steel.
The battery must be 300 mAh for the 40mm model and 425mAh for the 44 mm model. We expect better energy efficiency in both models, because even the Galaxy Watch6 Classic You can't go unplugged for two days.
About prices: it is said on technology forums that the 40 mm model will be priced at US$ 275 (R$ 1.534 in direct conversion) and the 44 mm model will be priced at US$ 300 (R$ 1.674 in direct conversion).
Galaxy Watch7 Ultra
Moving on to the successor of Galaxy Watch6 Classic, leaks indicate that the material of the case, which will probably measure 47mm, will be titanium (the same material used in the Apple Watch Ultra). Another big difference is in the peak brightness of the 1,5-inch screen, which should reach 3.000 nits. The first leaked photos indicate that the rotating crown is on this model.
The processor Exynos W1000 is also expected, as well as the model being speculated to have a 590 mAh battery. The model may have 2 GB of RAM and an additional 32 GB of internal storage.
A Bluetooth version of the Galaxy Watch7 Ultra is not expected to be released by Samsung, but the model must certainly have some exclusive monitoring service, as some rumors suggest that the watch will have a sensor to measure blood glucose levels, something essential for diabetics.
Speaking of the price, leaks indicate that the future most complete smart watch in Samsung it should be priced at US$650 (R$3.627 in direct conversion). Do you believe this is worth it? Tell us Comment!
Galaxy Ring
As an option for those who don't want to wear a smart watch or bracelet, the Galaxy Ring is one of the most anticipated products among everything that will be presented at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 Paris. We had the first preview of the model at the launch event for the Galaxy S24 line and, almost a month later, he also appeared at MWC 2024.
Five months later, here we are just days away from the official announcement of the company's smart ring. Samsung. It is said that the model will have the autonomy to monitor body temperature, measure heart rate, as well as measure stress levels and even detect snoring, but using the cell phone as a microphone (as already happens with the Galaxy Watch).
Certification documents from the FCC, a US regulatory agency (a body similar to Brazil's Anatel), revealed that the device will be launched in at least three sizes and three colors (black, silver and gold), with battery options (17 mAh, 18,5 .22 mAh and 9 mAh) depending on your choice. The same data indicates that the model should have a battery life of up to XNUMX days on a single charge, but of course this depends a lot on usage.
Little is known about the price, but it is speculated that the Galaxy Ring will cost between 300 and 350 dollars (between R$1671 and R$1950), the same price as its main competitor, the Oura Ring.
Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro
A Samsung presented their Buds 2 and Buds2 Pro in August 2022 and since then we have only had the launch of Galaxy Buds FE, which was quite a hit. Although the company has not confirmed that it will launch new headphones at its big event in Paris, leaks from recent months indicate that this could actually happen.
The first of them shows a big change in design, bringing models with stems and a case with a transparent lid, also with a slight reminder of Apple's famous 2nd generation AirPods Pro. The new Buds3 should be launched in just two colors: white and gray.
Regarding the Galaxy Buds2 line, Samsung's new headphones can have a driver for each side, in addition to IP57 certification so that they can be used even with the possible entry of water and dust into the models. It is also said that the models will have support for the SmartThings platform to be found via the application and website, in addition to support for the Bluetooth 5.4 standard.
The Galaxy Buds3 should hit the market with a dynamic driver for each earbud, while the Galaxy Buds3 Pro will have two on each side for extended dynamic range.
The Galaxy Buds3 Pro should arrive with an improved noise cancellation system (ANC) compared to the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, in addition, when connected to Galaxy smartphones and tablets, it will be possible to hear everything in spatial audio, which is even more immersive. See an image of it, already leaked:
Finally, the new headphones should gain new functions due to Galaxy AI, which should be updated with new features during Galaxy Unpacked 2024 Paris. Little is known about the prices, but the battery of the Galaxy Buds3 professional should last up to 24 hours, while the Galaxy Buds3 Pro It will hit the market with a battery life of up to 30 hours with the support of the carrying case.
