In short, this is what the Apple showed at the presentation of new AirPods Pro 2, the second generation of the company's premium line of wireless headphones. The launch took place in Apple event (or Apple Event, in free translation), held this Wednesday (07) - the company's first in-person event since the beginning of the pandemic.
The Pro lineup of AirPods hasn't been updated since 2019, when it was released. Now, Apple's new headset brings the new chip H2, with support for spatial audio and improved noise cancellation. Another novelty was in relation to the case - that little box that serves to store the headphones and charge your battery - which now has speakers.

O AirPods Pro 2 bring the audio processor H2, the latest model to be developed and manufactured by Apple for this type of accessory. It is thanks to him that the features of the headset could be improved.
Now, for example, the phone can transmit sound via Bluetooth more clearly. According to the company, this is possible due to a new exclusive audio driver and amplifier, which reduce audio distortion, offering deeper bass and clearer highs in a wider frequency band.
Also according to Apple, the chip uses new adaptation algorithms that process sound faster, which equalizes the audio as you listen, rendering the details for each type of ear. In addition, the manufacturer added a fourth size of rubber: the PP (extra-small).

O Audio Spacel, which lets the sound of the headphones surround, already offered a nice experience, especially when watching movies and series. On the new AirPods Pro 2, you can customize it to the shape of your ear and head. This new type of Spatial Audio adjustment, however, can only be done through an iPhone's camera – and then syncs across all your Apple devices.
In addition, Apple's new headphones feature equalization technology that adjusts the music to your ears in real time. And inward-facing microphones detect what you're hearing and regulate low and mid frequencies, which the manufacturer says delivers sound with crisper detail.
Another technology that enhances immersion, when using an Apple wireless headset, is the noise cancellation. And the company doubled down on this feature. That's because the new AirPods Pro (2nd generation) is capable of canceling twice as much noise as the previous model, in addition to an intelligent bass filter.
Also according to the manufacturer, a new driver and acoustic algorithms help the feature reduce unwanted sounds. And this technology is also present in the microphones of the new AirPods Pro, along with an opening on the back, which detect incoming sounds and work together to block the noise before it reaches your ears.
Already Environment Mode, which lets the external sound back in so you can hear what's happening around you, also brings news: it's now adaptable. That's because the new H2 chip filters and adjusts the sound 48 times per second, reducing the intensity of loud noises (eg sirens, tools at construction sites, etc). This, according to Apple, helps you hear more clearly what is happening around you.
Touch control, battery and speaker case
Until then, when using an Apple wireless headset, you had to adjust the volume through the device it was paired with (eg an iPhone or iPad). On the new AirPods Pro 2022, you can make this adjustment using touch control on the stem, that is, gestures made on the phone itself. A kind of affection for him. With up and down gestures, for example, you control the volume. By tapping the stem, you can play and pause the music; answer and end calls, switch between noise canceling and ambient mode, etc.
As for the battery, it will be possible to hear up to six hours of music – with active noise cancellation – before it runs out (an hour and a half longer than the previous generation). Using the case, which can give up to four recharges, you have more 24 hours of use, totaling 30 hours (six more than the predecessor model).
By the way, speaking of the case, it now has a speaker. But no, it's not to turn it into a sound box. The function of this speaker is to notify you when you need to locate it, working through the Find feature with Precise Find - and you can also use Apple's Find app. And the accessory also supports wireless charging – including using the Apple Watch charger. You can also power it through the Lightning input (the Apple standard).
The AirPods Pro 2022's case features a redesigned design, water and sweat resistance (IPX4 rating) and a cord entry, which allows the accessory to be clipped to a purse or backpack. Still talking about visuals, it will also be possible to record your Memoji – those Apple avatars – in the case.
