A Samsung must opt for the processor Snapdragon 8 Elite, presented this week, in its entire Galaxy S25 line. Initially, the idea was to bet on the processor Exynos 2500 manufactured in-house, but the company's internal tests have shown that this is not yet the time to launch smartphone models with this processor.

Rumors that the company would bet on Mediatek Dimension 9400 also circulated, but this was left aside and once again, a partnership with the Qualcomm has been closed for the three new smartphones that will be launched in early 2025.

Regarding the design, leaks about the Galaxy S25 line have shown that the Samsung is giving its smartphones a more premium look by eliminating the bezels between the screen and the body of the device. This would also give the models a more square appearance, as you can see in the photo below:

According to information posted by Business Korea portal, the Korean company has already started developing processors Exynos 2600 with first-generation two-nanometer architecture. The idea was that everything would be ready by the end of 2024, but it was necessary to redesign the strategy so that the results could be achieved.

Researchers are having trouble achieving performance and energy efficiency gains. This is because only a 10% performance gain has been achieved and, in order for mass production of the processors to begin, it is necessary to have yields of 60% or more compared to the competitor. TMSC.

Another piece of information circulating in the technology market is that, by 2026, Samsung could abandon the entry-level variant and, for the first time in its history, launch only two models: a Galaxy S26 Plus and a Galaxy S26 Ultra. The justification for this would be based on demand: there is a large portion of users who prefer models with larger screens when price is not considered.

It is also worth remembering that the traditional and Plus variants are practically the same, with simple changes in the battery and, of course, in the size of the screens. The decision would not be unprecedented in Samsung's history: for the launch of the Galaxy Tab S10 line, the company put only two variants on the market: Tab S10 Plus e Tab S10 Ultra.

It is speculated that the same 50 MP main camera, present in the simplest variants of the Galaxy S line since 2022, may be present in the Galaxy S26 (if it exists) and Galaxy S26 Plus, according to information from the leaker Ice Universe on X/Twitter, as you can see below:

Finally, a post on X indicated that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may have a facial recognition system that would be similar to Apple's FaceID, but the Korean company's one should be called PolarID.

The Korean company's focus is to offer even more security in various applications and transactions and one way to do this is to opt for artificial intelligence resources to perform a complete scan of the user's face.

The initial idea was that this would be ready for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but due to the improvement, the novelty was left for the 2026 smartphone.

In a post made by Korean portal SE Daily, it was stated that the Samsung development of the Exynos 2700 processor has also begun, which will possibly be present in the new Galaxy S27. So far, it is known that it has the codename Ulysses and second-generation two-nanometer architecture of Samsung.

It is normal for development to begin in October 2024, as the Korean company's intention is to begin mass production during 2026 so that everything is ready for launch in early 2027.

The portal SE Daily cites that, initially, the Samsung wants to increase performance by 12%, have 25% lower power consumption and be 8% smaller compared to the Exynos 2600.
