In September, the news of Max don't stop! The month is packed with premieres, including the new spin-off series of The Batman entitled Penguin, the film Bad Boys: All the Way, and new episodes of City of God: The Fight Doesn't Stop e Bob Burnquist – The Skateboarding Legend. In addition, the streaming service brings events such as the Emmy Awards and the new phase of the remodeled Champions League. Check out the main releases below Max In September.

Gringa (06/09)

gringa follows the story of Marge Bickford, a teenager struggling in high school and suffering even more after the unexpected loss of her mother. In search of answers and connection, Marge decides to flee to Mexico to find the father she never knew. Her father, a tequila enthusiast and coach of a local women's volleyball team, is initially a stranger to her. However, as they spend time together, they both discover that, despite the complications, it is possible to rebuild family ties.

Bad Boys: Last Blood (13/09)

Bad Boys: All the Way It is the third film in the franchise Bad Boys, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. In the plot, detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett reunite to face a new threat in Miami. Marcus is considering retiring, but is pulled back into action when Mike's life is threatened by a mysterious killer with links to his past.

The Origin of Fear (20/09)

The Origin of Fear follows a scattered gang of six early humans who, 45 years ago, land in a desolate land in search of a new home. Hungry and desperate, they try to find shelter in the mountains, believing that the caves there will offer protection. However, when they begin to suspect that they are being hunted by a mystical and malevolent entity, the group must confront unimaginable danger.

Murderous Thirst (27/09)

murderous thirst is a crime thriller that follows Eleanor, a young detective haunted by past traumas, who is called to investigate a brutal crime committed by a mass murderer. As the police and the FBI embark on a manhunt to capture the perpetrator, they are constantly thwarted by the unpredictable and unprecedented nature of the killer.

Smoky Tigers (27/09)

Smoky Tigers follows a Korean-American girl who struggles with the aftermath of her parents' separation. As she navigates the challenges of high school among the wealthy elite, she struggles to reconcile her new friendships with the harsh realities of her low-income life. On top of the pressure of supporting both parents and caring for a younger brother, she yearns for the life they had before while also trying to figure out her own identity amidst so much change.

Rice is a biblical soap opera produced by All time lap record, which tells the story of the first kings of Israel, from the anointing of Saul to the challenges faced by David and Solomon. The plot explores themes such as faith, leadership, betrayal and the conflict between following divine designs or giving in to the temptations of power. With a diverse cast and great production, the soap opera deals with the historical and religious context of the time, portraying the complex political and family relationships that marked the trajectory of the kings of the region.

Cris Miró (12/09)

A série Cris Miro addresses the life and career of the iconic Argentine artist who became the first transvestite to achieve fame on television and on stage in Argentina. The plot portrays her journey from personal and professional challenges to her impact on the country's culture and society, breaking down barriers and prejudices in a time of great conservatism.

Penguin (19/09)

the new series Penguin, set in the same universe as The Batman, is one of the most anticipated novelties of Max this month. The story follows Oswald Cobblepot, an influential Gotham City tycoon deeply involved in the underworld of crime and corruption. The series explores his life before he became the notorious villain Penguin, while he still works for mobster Carmine Falcone. Although he is not yet seen as a major threat in the criminal world, Oswald already displays a violent and impulsive side, eliminating anyone who crosses his path and gets in the way of his plans.

Less is More (21/09)

Less is More presents six episodes, where a new trio of presenters – Cora Fernandes, personal organizer; Bárbara Vieira, architect; and Aline Matulja, environmental engineer – visit homes to carry out interventions that promote organization, beauty and sustainability. The experts help families rethink their relationship with consumption, organizing and transforming spaces. Cora teaches organizational habits, Bárbara reuses furniture and objects, and Aline integrates sustainable practices. The goal is to transform homes and lives, showing how renovation can replace excessive and unnecessary consumption.

All American: New Beginnings follows Sinome, a student at Bringston, a historically black university in Atlanta. Together, they face the trials and tribulations of early adulthood, while discovering more about themselves.

Bake Off Brazil

Bake Off Brazil is a cooking reality show that highlights the skill and creativity of amateur bakers. Inspired by the original British series The Great British Bake Off, the program presents a competition where participants are challenged to create a variety of sweets and cakes in different technical and creative tests. Each episode has a specific theme and is evaluated by an expert jury, who judge the dishes based on flavor, presentation and technique.

Bob Burnquist – The Skateboarding Legend

the documentary series Bob Burnquist: Skateboarding Legend narrates the personal and professional journey of one of the greatest icons of Brazilian skateboarding. Through exclusive images and the participation of renowned guests from the world of skateboarding, the series reveals a little-known side of Bob Burnquist, highlighting his achievements and his importance in the sport.

City of God: The Fight Doesn't Stop

City of God: The Fight Doesn't Stop is the sequel to the acclaimed original film. Inspired by the book by author Paulo Lins, the spin-off takes place two decades after the events of the first film, in the early 2000s. Through Buscapé's memories, the production explores how conflicts between police, drug traffickers and militiamen affect the lives of the community's residents.

Industry

The original series follows young graduates who work at one of London's largest investment banks. The plot focuses on the culture of an extremely competitive environment, where only the most ambitious can thrive. With a total of eight episodes, the new season of Industry premieres on Max last month, receives new episodes throughout September.

Naked and Afraid: The Tribe

Naked and Afraid: The Tribe it's a variation of the reality show Dropped and peeled, which places participants in extreme survival situations. In this edition, competitors are divided into tribal groups and face challenges in inhospitable environments, without clothing or modern resources.

Masterchef Brazil

The new season of MasterChef Brazil receives new episodes this September on Max. The program is a culinary reality show where amateurs compete in culinary challenges to win the title of MasterChef. Each episode presents a series of tests, from skill and creativity tests to team challenges.

Highest

The new original series from MaxHighest, tells the story of Máxima Zorreguieta from her youth in Argentina to her rise as queen consort of the Netherlands. The story begins with Máxima working and studying in New York, where she meets then-Prince Willem-Alexander during a party at the Sevilla Fair. Their romance quickly becomes the focus of international media.

My Brilliant Friend

My Brilliant Friend is narrated by Elena Greco, an author who decides to write her memoirs after receiving news about the disappearance of her childhood friend. In the first series, Elena meets Lila, a talented and cunning girl, contrasting with Elena's own difficulty in keeping up with her studies. Despite living in a poor and violent neighborhood, the girls follow different paths: Elena continues her studies with the reluctant support of her parents, while Lila faces a different harsh reality.

The Tattooist of Auschwitz

The Tattooist of Auschwitz is a miniseries based on the historical novel by Heather Morris, which chronicles the life of Lale Sokolov, a Jewish prisoner in the Auschwitz concentration camp. Forced to work as a tattoo artist, Sokolov is responsible for marking the identification numbers of other prisoners. Amidst the suffering in the camp, he meets and falls in love with Gita, a fellow prisoner, developing a relationship that offers him hope and strength to face adversity.

Any given day

Any given day portrays life in a Rio de Janeiro suburb plagued by violence and corruption. After the death of Seu Chapa, police officer Quirino takes control of the area's drug trafficking, intensifying the struggle for power. Penha, Seu Chapa's widow and a religious woman, sees her children as the only hope for redemption amidst the chaos that surrounds her. The series explores the struggle of these residents to survive and maintain their hopes in an environment dominated by militia and crime.

Documentaries

The 43 of Ayotzinapa: State Crime (05/09)

The 43 of Ayotzinapa: State Crime is an HBO documentary series that investigates the disappearance of 43 students from a rural school in Mexico in 2014. The case generated great controversy and questions about the responsibility of the authorities. While the official version of the government of Enrique Peña Nieto attributed the crime to the local police and organized crime, independent experts accuse the Mexican state of covering up military information and hiding the truth.

One of Our Own: David Chase and the Sopranos (07/09)

One of Our Own: David Chase and the Sopranos is a two-part documentary that will be released by Max this September. The production offers an in-depth look behind the scenes of The Sopranos, featuring commentary from series creator David Chase and the cast. The documentary explores the lives of the participants during filming and provides a new perspective on the iconic series.

Animations/Adult Swim

Kite Man: It's Over! (01/09)

in animation Kite Man: That's it!, we follow the misadventures of the villain Kiteman and his partner, the Golden Skater, after a breakthrough in their relationship and the purchase of Noonan's, the most decadent bar in Gotham. The bar is located in the shadow of Lex Luthor's Legion of Doom, and the series explores the complications and challenges that arise for the couple in managing their new business while dealing with the city's problems.

Rick and Morty: The Anime (01/09)

Em Rick and Morty: The Anime, a new series from the universe of Rick and Morty, Rick finds himself relaxing in a pseudo-world between multiverses, while Summer helps Space Beth fight the evil Galactic Federation. At the same time, Morty falls in love with an enigmatic girl who happens to be a timeless being. The series, which premiered last month, will feature 10 episodes in total directed by Takashi Sano.

Megamind Rules! (05/09)

Megamind Dominates! is a show that follows Megamind in his new role as the hero protector of Metro-Ciudad. The show highlights how Megamind adapts and settles into his role, showing his adventures and achievements as he protects the city.

Greg's World (08/09)

Greg's World explores the life of Greg, an 11-year-old boy who faces the complexities and adventures of growing up. With plenty of humor, the series addresses themes such as friendship, family and everyday experiences in a funny way that captivates both children and adults who watch the series.

Totally Spies (16/09)

The new animation ofe Three spy awesome is returning with a new look for Sam, Clover and Alex. The trio of heroines, now students at Beverly Hills High, are recruited by WOOHP (World Organization for Human Protection) to become international spies. The series, which aired in Brazil in the 2000s on cable TV and TV Globinho, returns with a new season promising to please the new generation and the nostalgic older ones who enjoyed the classic series.

Uzumaki (29/09)

Uzumaki is a horror series based on the manga of the same name by Junji Ito. The plot is set in the fictional city of Kurouzu-cho and revolves around the supernatural events that occur due to the presence of mysterious spirals. The protagonist, Kirie Goshima, and her boyfriend, Shuichi Saito, try to unravel the mystery and face the horrors that arise with the appearance of these spirals.

Events

76th Emmy Awards (15/09)

The 76th ceremony of the Emmy Awards also arrives in the Max catalog this September! The award celebrates the outstanding achievements in American television of the year. Created in 1949, the award is given by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and recognizes excellence in several categories, including dramas, comedies, miniseries and variety programs.

UEFA Champions League 24/25 | League Stage

A Champions League is back! The most important competition in European football returns to Max with transmission by TNT Sports, now with a new format. Without the old group stage, the top teams in Europe will face each other in a league stage, which promises great duels in the first rounds, such as Liverpool vs. Real Madrid, PSG vs. Barcelona and much more.

Paulistao Female 2024
