In this list, we'll explain what you need to know to choose one WIFI router for the house, apartment or office. The models here feature the latest technologies, such as Rede's mesh (which are made from various devices to spread throughout the house) and the patterns Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, WiFi 6E e Wi-Fi 7, which indicate how fast and technological the product is. Check out:
What is Mesh Router or Mesh Network?
Name Mesh (mesh, in Portuguese) is given for a type of Wi-Fi networks made up of several routers. The idea here is that, instead of using a single router for the entire house, you spread 2, 3 or more of these products throughout the house, all connected to each other. This increases the signal strength and ensures that it is present in every room in the house.
Unlike the traditional router, the mesh router It is sold in kits of 2 or 3 units, and you must purchase the necessary quantity considering the size of your house or apartment. They are more efficient than a single router, better covering large areas and even floors, and do not require the use of devices called Wi-Fi repeaters.
Understand Wi-Fi speed standards
Wi-Fi as we know it today became popular in the late 2000s, with the popularity of smartphones. At the time, the standard used was IEEE 802.11n, today called Wi-Fi 4. There were versions before it, but it's from there that things really stood out.
Today, newer standards are available, such as Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi 6, WiFi 6E and, the most current of them, the Wi-Fi 7. With each release of a new standard like this, routers become faster, are able to handle more data and connect to more devices. Therefore, it is always important to try to buy the most current pattern. See how each of them works:
Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac)
- Released: 2013
- Velocity: Up to 3.5 Gbps (6 times faster than Wi-Fi 4)
- Advantages:
- 4K Video Streaming and Online Gaming: With excellent quality.
- 80 MHz and 160 MHz channels: Greater data capacity.
- MO-MIMO: Allows simultaneous communication with multiple devices.
- Beamforming: Directs the signal to devices, improving stability.
- 5GHz Operation: Less interference than the 2.4GHz band.
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)
- Released: 2019
- Velocity: up to 7 Gbps
- Advantages:
- OFDMA: Allows multiple devices to use the same channel, reducing latency.
- Target Wake Time (TWT): Saves device battery.
- 1024-QAM Modulation: More data per transmission.
- WPA3 Security: Better encryption and protection against attacks.
WiFi 6E
- Wi-Fi 6 Extension
- Velocity: up to 9.6 Gbps
- 6GHz Band: Adds a third band, improving interference-free data traffic.
Wi-Fi 7
- Released: 2024
- Velocity: up to 30 Gbps
- Advantages:
- 320MHz Channels: Greater volume of data in less time.
- 4096-QAM Modulation: 20% more data compared to Wi-Fi 6E.
- Multi-Link Operation (MLO): Simultaneous connection in 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz, reducing latency.
- Coordination of Multiple APs: Better network quality in dense locations.
- Backwards compatibility: Works with devices from previous versions.
Choosing a router with the latest standard will guarantee a faster and more stable connection, supporting more devices simultaneously and providing a better user experience, especially in environments with many connected devices.

The former achieves a total speed of up to 3000Mbps, while here we have the limitation of 1500Mbps, of course always combined between the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. Despite this, both deliver the same good Huawei technologies and best of all, they talk to each other, so you can set up your Mesh network with the cheapest and simplest model.
The design of this model is more traditional compared to the advanced router, which has a futuristic look in the shape of a tower. With more basic performance, it supports fewer devices simultaneously and has a shorter range, in addition to being available at a more affordable price.
