This Thursday, September 21, during an event held in New York, the Microsoft revealed the long-awaited moment: the official release date of Microsoft 365 Copilot. It was revealed by the company that, from November 1st, this feature will be available to customers using certain Microsoft 365 business plans. Smart Chat in Microsoft 365 Copilot
O Microsoft 365 Chat is one of the core elements of Microsoft 365 Copilot, going beyond simply exchanging questions and answers. Its functionality extends to an analysis of all user data, covering not only emails, meetings and chats, but also documents and web information.
This feature offers the ability to summarize documents and outsource the creation of emails. Furthermore, Copilot is capable of create entirely new projects in Word, using information from various sources, providing insights in real time during meetings conducted in Teams. He also has the ability to document and explain the procedures used in Excel, especially with regard to data analysis and projections, taking collaboration and productivity to a new level in the business environment.

Outlook
In Outlook, it will be possible to write and respond to emails using commands given to the personal assistant. It will also be possible to transform the data contained in the emails received into documents, summaries and presentations for your team.
Word
In Word, the user can ask the assistant to summarize documents, extract data from other files and spreadsheets, insert images and adjust the writing style to sound more formal, communicative or cheerful. When entering a command in the personal assistant's dialog box, it already provides formats, topics, quick searches, suggestions and various templates that can reduce the time needed to create texts in the program.
Excel
In Excel, data analysis in spreadsheets will become simpler with Copilot, as announced by the company. With this tool, the identification of patterns and trends in datasets will be streamlined, also facilitating the creation of visualizations.
Power point
Need help creating a presentation from scratch? Office AI Copilot can provide guidance based on both actionable commands and information extracted from documents.
Microsoft Teams
Video meetings with your team or conversations in chat channels can be automatically summarized into informational documents, to-do lists, or presentations. AI is capable of understanding what each user says, whether by voice or text, to organize information in a simple and convenient way.
Whiteboard
The meeting whiteboard app, useful for sketching, sketching diagrams and other common applications of a physical office whiteboard, now helps with idea generation and planning. With the help of the AI tool, participants can, for example, come up with a slogan from a few words suggested to Copilot or even create images based on concise instructions.

This is an essential aspect of Copilot, as it serves as the basis for its internal functionalities. Need to take quick notes? Copilot assistant support is also available for this and other tasks, helping to identify important points in a text and providing ideas related to the content.
Microsoft Loop
If you're working on a collaborative project, Microsoft Loop can provide assistance in creating summaries of what's being developed. When integrating with this function, Copilot also offers additional information, points out relevant contexts for understanding what was produced and creates a list of essential points, providing a practical way to demonstrate the project's progress to other team members.
Microsoft Live
Have you ever imagined having a learning diary? With the collaboration between Copilot and Viva, it is possible to organize your routine with greater precision, making the most of your available time. Tasks such as learning collections, organized by days in your calendar, or delving deeper into specific topics can be easily incorporated into your schedule with the help of the AI assistant.”
Understand the limitations
Like all technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) has its limitations, and it is essential to be aware of the possible disadvantages. Some content generated by AI may contain inaccuracies, as its sources are based on internet data. Additionally, the AI may not be up to date with recent events and may have difficulty understanding and interpreting sarcasm, irony, or humor. Therefore, it is essential to analyze any AI-generated content to ensure it has been produced with the desired accuracy and meets your needs.
Testing and release
Those who have access to the beta now have the opportunity to try Microsoft 365 Chat. This can be done through the platforms teams, Bing ou Microsoft365.com, as long as they are connected to your corporate account.
Microsoft also said today that it is rolling out a version of Copilot across all of its apps and services. This means that even if you don't have Microsoft 365 Copilot, you may still notice similar functionality appearing in several other places.
From November 1st, the corporate customers will be able to purchase the Microsoft 365 Copilot for a fee of US$ 30 per user per month.
