The application Microsoft Copilot, previously known as bingchat, operates in a similar way to the mobile application Chat GPT, from OpenAI. In addition to conventional functionalities, such as asking questions, composing emails and summarizing texts, it also offers the additional ability to create images, made possible by integration with the famous text-to-image generator, DALL-E3. This feature expands the possibilities of expression and communication for users, providing a versatile and comprehensive experience within the application.

Unlike the free version of ChatGPT, which uses GPT-3.5, Copilot offers direct access to GPT-4, the latest large language model (LLM) developed by OpenAI, without the need for a paid subscription. This difference displays the exclusive advantage provided to Copilot users, who can enjoy the enhanced capabilities and innovations brought by GPT-4 at no additional cost. The decision to make this more advanced version available for free showcases Microsoft's strategy of offering broad and inclusive access to the latest technologies.

With Microsoft's transition of the Bing Chat brand to Copilot, the company is moving towards providing an autonomous experience, thus resembling ChatGPT. In addition to the launch of applications for devices Android e iOS, Microsoft also brought an exclusive web experience to Copilot, dissociated from the Bing environment. You can access it for free, just needing to log in to your Microsoft account, on Copilot official website and start using AI.

To use the application, on the main page, simply make the request you want in the field below “ask me anything“, whether in text, image (on the camera icon) or even by voice, when clicking on the microphone icon. In our example, Microsoft Copilot was asked to talk about the showmetech. He did his research and came up with the description that you can see above.

The app also provides references to the requested research. Image: lucas gomes, smt

After the description appears a line with “Learn more” and an arrow, which when clicked on, links referring to the research appear. In our example we were presented respectively:

  • Showmetech main page in Portuguese;
  • Showmetech main page in English;
  • Showmetech main page in Spanish;
  • Search on Bing with the term “Showmetech”;
  • Page about the founding of Showmetech.

At the end of the message there is also three buttons: the first to positively evaluate the answer offered, the second to evaluate negatively and the third to copy the entire answer.

Next, still on the topic of showmetech, we request that artificial intelligence create images related to the website and we received the response above. The app brought images of possible Logos, banners e pets for the website.
