One of the traditions that is repeated every year in Mobile World Congress are the announcements that occur the day before the official opening of the event. Many of the big manufacturers choose the date to make their biggest announcements (as they did LG e Samsung). This year, launches made before the start of the MWC 2016 were more numerous than in recent years, check out some of them.
LG
A LG was one of the first companies to shake up the atmosphere in Barcelona. the launch of LG G5 can be considered one of the great ads in the mobile market. The South Korean company presented an innovative smartphone that has everything to win the favor of the consumer (read our article).
Samsung
Samsung has also done well in the Galaxy Unpacked 2016 and the news has already started in the way the event was broadcast. The South Korean company has finally revealed the long-awaited Galaxy S7 e Galaxy Edge S7 (read our article). This was an event that literally (or virtually) brought the public inside, as the occasion was shown in 360°. (finegrowndiamonds.com) In addition to the flagship smartphones, Samsung also presented the Gear 360, a camera that should facilitate access to virtual reality technology, as it allows users to create their own 360º videos.
HTC
in a more discreet way HTC also made announcements before the official start of the MWC 2016. Taiwanese manufacturer announced its new Desire smartphones, the HTC Desire 825, HTC Desire 630 and the HTC Desire 530. In addition HTC also presented the new generation of its well-known speakers BoomSound.
Alcatel
A Alcatel was also one of the first to present its new devices on the date before the opening of the MWC 2016. The first news was the announcement that the company's devices will no longer use the nomenclature "One Touch” and will use only Alcatel, introducing a new logo and bringing the new Idol 4 e Idol 4S. Furthermore, Alcatel launched a Virtual reality glasses which is compatible with both models.
HP
After exiting the smartphone market following the troubled acquisition of Palm, HP is back in great shape. The company announced a smartphone with operating system Windows 10 Mobile and iris scanner. The new HP Elite X3 has a configuration comparable to Galaxy S7 e LG G5, however, the focus of the product is on the corporate market.
Lenovo
Although it also did not promote a press conference prior to MWC 2016, Lenovo also made their ads. The company announced two new smartphones with intermediate features: Vibe K5 and the Vibe K5 Plus, with updates to the internal hardware and screen resolution.
Huawei
A Huawei also introduced a new device on the date before the MWC 2016. The surprise was due to what was announced, since instead of a new smartphone the company presented a 2 in 1 device called Huawei MateBook, very similar to the Surface and that works with operating system 10 Windows Mobile.
ZTE
Closing our summary of announcements that preceded the opening of MWC 2016, ZTE presented a device that combines a portable projector with a smartphone running Android. O ZTE Spro Plus is an improved version of ZTE Spro2, launched in 2015. The device is capable of projecting applications, games and multimedia content that are stored on the device. According to the manufacturer, the ZTE Spro-Plus is designed for both corporate and home users.
