idealized by NVIDIA, with the intention of popularizing the Tegra chip, NVIDIA Tegra note was presented in Brazil Game Show as the world's fastest 7-inch tablet. Many manufacturers around the world have developed their version of Tegra, such as EVGA, Gigabyte and MSI. In Brazil, the person responsible for the project was Gradient, which until then, produced with chips from Mediatek and Qualcomm.

Design and finishing

The Tegra's construction is well finished, with trimmed edges and a rubberized finish to the rear. The front part accommodates two speakers with stereo sound and a VGA front camera. On the top of the device we have the volume buttons.

Fabric

Even with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and an IPS panel for better viewing at tighter angles, the colors presented by the display seemed a little washed out. In addition, the panel proved to be highly reflective, which ends up harming the visualization of the content a little.

Apart from the high reflectivity and low color fidelity, the resolution and quality of the display, when viewed from a better angle, makes for a great set for viewing videos and games.

The device comes with a pen Stylus, which eliminates additional expenses if you want to purchase one. There are no buttons or tricks. When pointed at the display, as with the Stylus that comes with the Galaxy Note 3, it performs simple functions such as drawings, selections and the possibility of handling the entire device. It is worth mentioning here, that the pen precision is high, it can be compared to that of the Galaxy Tab 10.1.

Hardware and Processing

Inside, we have the Tegra 4 quad core 1,8GHz chip, with 1GB of RAM and a GeForce ULP GPU. plus-15.

The fifth additional core tends to save more battery when compared to the conventional cores contained in the Cortex A7 and Cortex A9. Generally speaking, we can say that the Tegra 4 manages to deliver a processing experience similar to the Snapdragon 800.

Games like Need For Speed and Robot Unicorn Attack run without any FPS drops or warm-ups.

Storage and battery

The device storage is 16GB, where around 13GB is user accessible. I consider the space satisfactory, being possible to expand via SD card (up to 64GB) for personal files storage. Part of this availability in storage is due to the fact that the device does not receive many interventions on the interface, such as Features and third-party applications.

The battery capacity is 4100mAH and proved to be enough for 2 days of moderate use. Perhaps due to the graphic detailing of the GPU, with the execution of videos and games, a more aggressive drop in battery capacity can be noticed. But still, the Tegra Note easily goes from 1 day of use.

Price and Conclusion

The value of NVIDIA Tegra Note in Gradiente website is R$ 999 in cash, without any kind of discount. Variations of this value can be found in other stores, however they reach a maximum of R$100 of difference from the official value.

But is it worth the price charged by Gradiente? Perhaps because Gradiente is a less influential company in the field of mobile devices, we have the feeling that the product could be cheaper. However, just a look at the specifications and a few minutes of experience with the device, for us to have the impression that the gadget is worth the amount charged.

O Tegra is suitable for gamers and multimedia content consumers. When connected to the TV via the micro HDMI output, we have a powerful console at hand. The same happens when watching videos, with the stereo speakers positioned on the front, we have total immersion in the content, with high sound fidelity.
