BMW, one of the most famous car brands in the world, is bringing a technological innovation to the market: the BMW Mixed Reality. The technology mixes virtual reality and augmented reality – known respectively by the acronyms in English VR and AR – to provide a driving experience that is very different from what we know.
This technology uses a VR headset manufactured by Varjo to superimpose the virtual track on the real environment, allowing drivers to experience the thrill of traveling different routes without leaving the vehicle. Combining the VR headset with the device Smart Track of AR tracking, guarantees a high refresh rate and low latency, important elements to offer an even more immersive and fluid experience.
BMW claims that the mixed reality, where the virtual combines with the real, can be applied with advantages in the field of vehicle development and professional training, especially for driving simulations in different situations. An example mentioned by the team is the integration of technology into the existing driving simulator. This would open up possibilities in the real world to improve aspects such as choosing the ideal trajectory and braking points, among other applications.
Mixed Reality is becoming a tool that will not only cover brand-specific models, but will also be incorporated into future electric vehicles from BMW. Customers will have the opportunity to experience this technology for the first time during the BMW M Driving Experience, an event that will take place in 2023.
New solar eclipse in October
Approximately every six months, ideal physical circumstances occur that lead to Sun, Terra and Moon to align themselves precisely in space, enabling the occurrence of solar or lunar eclipses. New Cyberpunk 2077 DLC
A documentary recently released by Ard Media brought additional information about the development process of Cyberpunk 2077. In approximately 70 minutes of content, the CD Projekt RED, the studio responsible for developing the game, spoke about the game's arrival on PlayStation 4 and clarified some of the controversial issues that arose during its launch.
The debut of the DLC phantom liberty brought some relief to the action RPG genre and is already considered one of the best-rated games of 2023 on the Metacritic. However, despite this success and the revitalization of the base game through the update, the question remains whether this expansion managed to erase 2020's disastrous launch.
As seen in the documentary, the DLC represents everything the original game was supposed to be. Some people directly involved in the game's development confirmed that there were tight situations. Cyberpunk 2077's mission director, Pawel Sasko, points out that the RPG was launched hastily.
