The donation to Unicamp

The event that took place on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 was also marked by an interesting initiative. THE Qualcomm announced the donation of US$ 750.000 (R$ 3.859,05 million in direct conversion) to the UNICAMP Lumina Heritage Fund.

Antonio Jose de Almeida Meirelles, dean and professor at Unicamp, attended the event to announce that the money, which will be sent over three years, will go to women who are unable to study because they are in a vulnerable situation. Access to 5G, AI, compute, XR and IoT connected smart edge platforms from Qualcomm are also confirmed.

Defined as a 5G router that offers fifth-generation internet without the need for cabling or installations that cause changes in a location, this device arrives on the Brazilian market to be purchased by internet operators in October 2022. Improved protection is another highlight: the 11,6-inch screen with HD resolution (1280x720p) has touch-sensitive variants, but there's no word on whether these options will be released in the future.
