Tapo T315 temperature and humidity sensor
We come to the first sensor of this review, the Tapo T315 Temperature and Humidity Sensor. This is an essential tool for anyone who wants to monitor the thermal comfort of their home accurately and reliably. With a compact design, the sensor allows you to monitor the temperature and humidity of the environment in real time, receiving instant notifications in case of significant changes.
The sensor does not require installation and its configuration is very simple, just follow the step-by-step instructions and you will not have any difficulties. Because it is compact, you can leave it on a countertop, table, attach it to a wall or any other flat surface using the included adhesive.
The equipment has a button responsible for switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit, keeping the button pressed reverses the display order, seeing temperature and humidity or humidity and temperature.
One point to highlight is that the sensor can take up to 15 minutes to record the exact temperature when turned on for the first time. But, by using high-precision sensors after stabilization, it can monitor these factors in real time. The data collected by the sensor is updated every 2 seconds, ensuring you always have the latest information about your home's climate.
Using the app on your smartphone, you can set custom limits for temperature and humidity. If these limits are exceeded, you will receive an instant notification, alerting you to changes in the climate in your home.
In addition to change alerts in the Tapo app, it is also possible to monitor the history of weather changes in the environment where the device is installed.
One point that I personally found negative is that the sensor is powered by two AAA (stick) batteries, but they guarantee a battery life of up to 1 year due to its low energy consumption screen, similar to those used in e-readers (Kindle and the like) and the low-power information sending system.

Tapo T110 Smart Contact Sensor
Continuing on sensors, let's talk about the Tapo T110 Smart Contact Sensor, a practical solution to increase the security of your home. It allows you to monitor the opening and closing of doors and windows, receiving notifications in case of activity, whether an attempted theft or even confirmation if you left a door or window open.
O T110 Smart Contact Sensor It has a compact design that easily integrates into door and window frames. The sensor adapts to any environment without compromising the aesthetics of the location.
To install the sensor, simply attach one part to the door or window and the other to the frame. It is worth mentioning that it is recommended that the parts have a maximum distance of 15 cm between them; distances greater than this are identified as open by the sensor. Once installed, just add it to the application and everything will be ready.
When added, we can monitor and detect the opening and closing of where it has been installed, and you can also configure the application to receive notifications when there is a change in the sensor status (open or closed). The application also presents information on how long the sensor remained open with a complete history.
Unlike my discomfort regarding the temperature and humidity sensor's power supply, the smart contact sensor didn't bother me because it is powered by a CR2430 battery, after all we won't have as much direct contact with it as with the temperature sensor. As it is a simpler device, the tap guarantees autonomy of up to 3 years.
