It was barely announced and the new Samsung Galaxy Fold already have competition. THE Huawei announced its own foldable smartphone in MWC 2019, in Barcelona, the Mate X. Both devices unfold into a tablet and have killer specs. In this article, we will compare the features of the two devices.
Design
Both are foldable smartphones, but it's amazing how different they are in terms of design and construction. O Samsung Galaxy Fold opts for two separate screens: a small one on the outside, meant to be used with just one hand, and then a huge one hidden inside the fold.

When it's folded, it's a pretty-looking phone – it literally looks like two smartphones stacked on top of each other. But it also looks quite robust.
On the other hand, the Huawei Mate X features a single large screen that folds around the back. That means you can use it as a phablet traditional when folded, or go for the full tablet experience when unfurled.
O Mate X also looks a little thinner than the Galaxy fold, making it potentially more comfortable to carry around.
Fabric
The outer screen of Galaxy fold isn't very exciting: it's a 4,6-inch OLED panel with 1960 × 840 resolution, designed for one-handed use.

The other screen is what really counts: a 7,3-inch OLED panel with 2152×1536 resolution, with a small corner piece hidden by the camera module.
Meanwhile, the Huawei Mate X It has a single 8-inch OLED display with 2480×2200 resolution. When folded, you get a 6,6-inch display on the front and 6,38-inch on the back of the 2480x892 resolution segment.

There's no camera notch of any sort, as all three cameras are found in the "footprint" - you'll use them as your main camera and selfie camera depending on how you're holding the phone.
Cameras
O Samsung Galaxy Fold has six cameras! We suppose it makes sense for a phone with two screens and two very different shapes.
You will find a single selfie shooter on the front of the phone's "case" and three rear cameras on the other half. The smartphone has a wide-angle lens of 12 SM switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4, an ultra-wide-angle lens of 16 SM at f/2.2 and a telephoto lens of 12 SM at f/2.4.
This is the same triple camera setup as Samsung Galaxy S10. And then, when you unfold the device, there are two cameras with the big screen: a selfie camera 10MP (f/2.2) and an RGB depth camera from 8MP (f/1.9).
As mentioned, however, the Mate X keeps things much simpler by having a Leica triple camera setup that works on both screen forms.

It has a wide-angle lens of 40MP, an ultra-wide-angle lens 16 SM and a telephoto lens 8MP. Huawei's Mate 20 Pro is the reigning camera champion, so there's plenty of reason to be optimistic about the device's setup. Matte X.
Performance
You will get a powerful Android chip in both cases: o Galaxy fold uses a 855nm Snapdragon 7 octa-core processor, while the Mate X has the new HiSilicon Kirin 980 chip from Huawei. O Galaxy fold has 12GB of RAM, while the Huawei have 8GB.

Both smartphones support 5G networks, so they'll be pretty fast if you're on a carrier that supports them. O Galaxy fold also comes in a flavor LTE, which we suspect is the cheapest (entry level) of the lot.
Battery
They also have monster batteries: 4.380mAh No. Galaxy fold e 4.500mAh No. Mate X. the phone of Samsung supports wired and wireless charging, while the Huawei only sticks to wired charging.
Both have a huge internal storage cache of 512GB, but the Galaxy fold does not have a microSD slot for expandable storage. already the Mate X allows Nano memory cards from Huawei from to 256GB.

The handsets pack a fingerprint sensor into the side power button.
possible verdict
At this point, it is only possible to speculate a verdict for this battle between two technology giants. Both handsets look incredibly unique and attractive. However, both are insanely expensive and it will hardly be possible to reach a large number of people.
O Galaxy fold da Samsung arrive on the day April 26 in LTE and 5G varieties, with a starting price of US$ 1.980. Surprisingly, the Huawei Mate X will be even more expensive, being sold for US$ 2.299 when it launches mid-year.
In terms of design, the Mate X it's more visually appealing, especially with this thinner shape. Although the idea of a huge canvas rolled up on the outside doesn't seem very interesting.
On the other hand, the Galaxy fold it feels a little more durable and robust, which is especially important when you're spending so much money on an experimental smartphone.
In any case, they are two amazing devices. Whether they will actually pay off the investment and reach the mass market is another matter entirely. Despite that, congratulations to Samsung and Huawei for thinking outside the box.
