With just one button, the new device has the support of standard Matter, which has only one configuration for several connected devices. With this, it is possible to use interruptibility so that everything is activated as soon as the button is pressed. The first use can be initiated either through a notification on the smartphone, or by scanning a QR code.

Through the application SmartThings, it is possible to register in three ways, which can be activated by pressing the button: short tap, long tap or double tap. If you prefer, routines can be activated through the application SmartThings, available for smartphones.

Simply register and select the type of button press on the SmartThings Station.

In addition to controlling the connected home, the device can also recharge smartphones through induction, at up to 15W. When charging is complete, a beep will sound for you to remove the device.

A Samsung revealed that the SmartThings Station will be released in black and white and, for now, only people living in the US and Korea will be able to purchase it. Pricing or availability for Brazil has yet to be shared.

Harman Ready Care

A HARMAN, a subsidiary of Samsung, want to do full monitoring. For this to work, data from smart watches, smartphones, wellness and even sleep apps will be considered. When a dangerous situation is detected based on the data, a notification is displayed so that no major problems happen.

future technologies

Finishing the news, the last part of the presentation of Samsung na CES 2023 was marked by the announcement of technologies that will be available in the not so distant future. Most of them are focused on delivering greater accessibility.

O Spatial AI will be implanted from the aspirator Jet Bot AI + so that the product can create digital maps of an entire environment. In the future, the product will not only be able to understand where each appliance is, but also turn on and off connected appliances such as smart TVs, air conditioners and more.

O Generative AI is focused on editing photos according to special commands. Imagine, for example, you have a photo in autumn weather, but you would like to see how it would look if it had been taken during the winter. Just give the command for the functionality and the photo will be edited in the best possible way. It is important to remember that the Generative AI does not create photos from scratch, but rather manipulates a file that already exists.
