A Samsung launches this Friday (04) the arrival of its vertical TV in Brazil, called The sero (vertical in Korean). At 43 inches, it is a 4K QLED smart TV with 60W RMS sound and 4.1 channels. Smartphones have normalized the consumption of content in portrait mode, leading to experiments such as vertical cinema, vertical short film made with iPhone and now vertical TV.
More than 70% of Brazilians mirror content from their cell phone on television. With that, The Sero is a highly customizable premium product with a focus on young people, mainly because it proposes this closer connection with smartphones.
According to Samsung, the screen of The sero rotates for you to watch your favorite content, whether in portrait or landscape mode. Whether vertically for mobile content and apps, or horizontally for movies and TV shows, you'll always get the best perspective.
Design
With a design that is certainly different from what we are used to, the vertical TV is beautiful and stylish, serving not only as a television in itself, but as an excellent piece of decoration in any environment.
It is very minimalistic and compact despite its weight, not taking up much space regardless of whether the screen is in a vertical or horizontal position.
Its navy blue stand is discreet and hides the powerful sound system. The minimalism also extends to the remote control, thin and modern, with few buttons.
It also has portrait mode, ensuring the vertical TV adapts to whatever environment you prefer with five available modes of environment decoration – poster, clock, photo, sound wall or cinema.
There's also Ambient Mode 3.0, which makes the TV camouflage itself against the wall it's next to, reaffirming its use as a decoration.
Fabric
With a unique 43" model, the vertical TV screen has QLED technology - known from 4K and 8K smart TVs from Samsung –, Quantum Dot technology that offers a million shades of true-to-life color, without fading in any light condition.
In addition, it features 4K resolution, MR120+ Hz refresh rate and powerful artificial intelligence that enhances the image of content regardless of the original quality. Artificial intelligence automatically analyzes content to reduce image noise, restore faded details, and better define object and text contours.
The biggest curiosity is around the movement of the screen. Upon detecting the type of content being watched, the TV itself adjusts itself in landscape or portrait mode. It also obeys the movement of the cell phone that is mirrored, rotating when detecting the rotation of the smartphone screen, in addition to being able to rotate with command through the app or remote control.
When streaming content from your cell phone, it adapts it so that there are no black bars on the sides of the TV. And if your smartphone model is a Galaxy with Android 10 or higher, just touch it on the vertical TV for mirroring to happen.
Another smart feature of The sero is the Adaptive Picture, which analyzes the brightness of the environment in which it is, regulating its own brightness (like a cell phone screen), so that it is not too dark in bright environments, or bright too much in dark environments.
Audio
Your speakers may be discreet and hidden, but they certainly won't go unnoticed. The audio system has 4.1 channels of 60W of power and Dolby Digital Plus technology that fills the entire space.
There's also the Voice Amplifier function, which performs an analysis of the noise in the environment, detecting noises in your home and increasing the sound of the dialogues so that they can be understood clearly and clearly.
Personal assistants and connectivity
The vertical TV The sero is equipped with the operating system Tizen, which promises to take the concept of the connected home a step further, as well as expanding what a “television can do”.
With Samsung's SmartThings app, you can control various features in your home, such as the lights, even check what's inside your fridge, or have the robot vacuum cleaner start cleaning. It also features AirPlay 2, making it possible to mirror and stream with Apple devices.
There are also options for Bixby and Alexa voice assistants, which allow you to control the television and connected devices in the house (in the case of Alexa) by voice commands.
sustainable packaging
Worrying about the production of garbage, the boxes of the The sero have been re-signified so that, instead of throwing them away, you can build a house for your pet.
All models of the TV Samsung Lifestyle come accompanied by eco-packaging, (ecological packages, in free translation), as part of an initiative to reduce the environmental impact caused by packaging waste.
In addition to The Sero, the The Frame and Serif also have these packages.
The cardboard even comes with dots that can serve as a cutting guide, as well as an instruction manual via QR Code to help you with the task. On one side, the cardboard remains in its original brownish tone. In another, we can see a blue finish.
