Since August 2013, when Steve Ballmer announced his departure from Microsoft, much was speculated about who would be the new CEO from the company.
In a official statement posted on the Microsoft blog, Satya Nadella was confirmed as the new CEO, a position held by Ballmer since January 2000.
Bill Gates, the company's founder, will serve on the technology board and Ballmer, the current chief executive, will remain on the board of directors.
