In a new era without E3, the games industry inherited the month of June for a collective of events with the aim of announcing the novelties of the coming years. At the ShowmeCAST 146 From this week Daniel e Dacius talk about everything that happened at the main game announcement events of the last few days. With revelations that excited the fans, the games industry contemplates us with news about Alan wake 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and many others.
After the end of E3: Game Summer Fest, an event created by renowned journalist Geoff Keighley, was responsible for centralizing the vast majority of new game announcements. Consequently, smaller events created by the companies themselves continued to use the same time of year around this conference to show their plans for the future.

Game Summer Fest
Hosted by creator Geoff Keighley himself, the main event opened the season of in-game reveals with an in-person conference in the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. The event was streamed live via YouTube, Twitch, Steam, TikTok e Twitter through its official channels and presented news about games that had already been presented, as well as showing news that excited fans for the first time.
We commented on ShowmeCAST 146 about the unpredictable trailer for sandland, the new game inspired by the manga franchise created by Akira Toriyama — author of Dragon Ball — which showed a beautiful game that tells the story of demons and humans living together in a desert world. The action gameplay features lots of vehicles and promises plenty of exploration in an open world with RPG elements.
We also had news about the new Alan wake 2 with a survival horror footprint, focusing much more on survival than its predecessor. The director took the stage to comment on the new mechanic of switching protagonists during the game, which will feature two parallel stories taking place at the same time.
In addition other big announcements were shown as news from Mortal Kombat 1, Lies of P, Like a Dragon: Gaiden e Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and the long-awaited release date reveal of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 which will be released on October 20, 2023.
Xbox Showcase
O Xbox Showcase it was the best event Game Summer Fest. With a well-balanced conference in its announcements and with a great dynamic, the presentation had its time reduced in relation to previous years with the details about the games being shown in a Xbox Showcase Extended. In this way, we had several games for all tastes being presented, keeping the audience excited from beginning to end.
Among its main highlights were the revelations of Person 3 Reloaded, Persona 5 Tactics, Metaphor Re Fantazio, as well as introducing new game details like Forza Motosport, Senua's Saga Hellblade II, Starfield e Fable.
Ubisoft Forwards
One of the ads Xbox Showcase that excited the audience was a game of Ubisoft. star wars outlaws had its gameplay presented in the Ubisoft Forwards, an event focused on news from the French company Ubisoft. The game is the franchise's first open world Star Wars and is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back e Return of the Jedi in an adventure with the protagonist Kay Vess, a crook who is looking for ways to start a new life in the underworld of the galaxy.
Furthermore, Ubisoft presented news about the return of Assassin's Creed goes back to its origins in a game that promises to be smaller in scope than the latest releases and will be focused on parkour and murder, just like the first games in the series. Another lap that we had presented was with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, which showed a not-so-great trailer for a game that looks amazing.
Capcom Showcase
Finally, we talked on ShowmeCAST 146 about the Capcom Showcase, announcement event by the Japanese company that has stood out in recent years for good releases and games like Street Fighter 6 e Resident Evil 4 that promise to be in the main game awards of the year. The main highlights were the revelation of a new series called Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess which has strong inspirations in Onimusha, news about Dragon's Dogma II and presentation of a new gameplay segment of the exoprimal.
Overall, the Summer Game Fest 2023 had low expectations before its start and managed to present news that gave us hope for great games in the future and ended with a positive balance.
