Spotify announces video podcast in Brazil

Following the trend seen on platforms like YouTube, the Spotify launches new feature video podcast for cell phones, computers and video games. To debut the novelty, the first Spotify Original podcast on video in Brazil was also announced, the Ordinary Mouths. The news was announced during the event held on Monday (11). Video podcast on Spotify already exists abroad

The new podcast feature on Spotify will allow video integration, similar to what we see in video podcasts on YouTube. This functionality had been launched first in five regions of the world, and finally arrived in Brazil. The company bets on innovation: the freedom to have, in addition to the audio, also the image of the podcast. 

Announced today, the feature will be available for free this Tuesday (13) to all users. However, some famous programs such as podDelas are now available to watch in the app. The video can be played in two ways to the listener: either in full screen, with the complete video, or audio only, with the reduced image.

The news will be available on the website. Anchor, own Spotify. For new podcasts, it will be necessary to create a channel where you will select the name of your program, your target audience and which language the content will be intended for. In addition to this information, you can add a biography, image and important content such as your social networks. 

When you already have your profile filled out and the channel created, the Anchor will allow you to load the audio and video files. The only specification is that the video be in horizontal format and with the extensions .mp4 e .mov. Then, after allowing the files to be posted and filling in the title and description of the central theme, your program will be available in Spotify apps. 

If the podcast has already been posted and the owners want to add the video, the Spotify allows you to select up to 10 episodes to replace audio with video. The company recommends the same for new content.

Another feature of Anchor is to allow content creators to interact with the audience through polls and questions, which will serve for audience interaction with the podcast.

Video embedding is important as the Spotify has numerous podcasts and allows the content to be fully republished on the platform, not only remaining on the YouTube.

Spotify's First Exclusive Video Podcast

O Spotify also announced the arrival of the first podcast platform video exclusive. Hosted by Beto Estrada, João Luiz Pedrosa, Julio Betrão, Pathy dos Reis and Mc Soffia, the program Ordinary Mouths promises to host celebrities and lots of fun conversations, as well as a wide range of humor. 

The platform's new exclusive program will adopt the model already seen in other successful YouTube podcasts, using the video feature as its flagship. The release date is on Tuesday (19), and will be available on the streaming.
