The folding device is quite competent to perform simultaneous actions on its two screens. despite the Microsoft have announced their own chipset for the Surface ProX, in this case the Surface Neo carry a Intel Lakefield processor customization, called a “hybrid processor”. The graphics will be managed by an “11th generation” engine, a line not yet announced by Intel, currently on the 10th generation chipset.
Different from other folding devices, the Surface Neo use both screens with flexible possibilities. The highlight is the magnetic keyboard, which occupies part of a screen and can be swiped vertically. If the keyboard is on top of a screen, a touchpad can be displayed, but it can also be used as a pen drawing panel.
If the keyboard is at the bottom, the rest of the screen can have different uses: emoji keyboard, touchbar, PiP and other possibilities that users and applications can take advantage of.
Windows 10X is announced especially for the two screens of the Surface Neo
O Windows 10X is an essential part of the functioning of the Surface Neo. The taskbar is now centered, with the Start Menu button present, but no search button or Cortana. Start itself is different, without the live tiles, the essence of Microsoft since Windows Phone 7 in 2010.
Contrary to what happened with the systems RT Windows e Windows 10S, all programs and apps from Windows will be able to run on Windows 10X, without inconvenience, through the power of the processor Intel. UWP or Win32 programs will be supported in Surface Neo, with access to the possibilities of use on two screens, with emphasis on the Office package, of course.
O Surface Neo does not have a release date or price, but it is expected to go on sale only at the end of 2020.
